Leaving her apartment had become easier; leaving the building was another story altogether. Since Kahlan's sonogram, she had ventured out once or twice for groceries and to walk Pugsley (not that walking him counted as leaving since she was still so close to the building). She considered visiting the school (briefly), though she couldn't go inside, to jump back in the saddle so to speak, but she wasn't a hundred percent sure that it wouldn't suck her right back inside. So, today Keelin mostly kept to herself and stayed put inside of her apartment. Although, "staying put" in this case meant that she was cleaning the apartment. Twice. She was sure Kahlan was annoyed but she didn't stop. Once she started she had to finish or start all over.
'Movie night sounds fun,' Pugsley jumped around her feet. 'But I don't understand the point of watching other people kiss and shooting guns for no reason. Movies just take forever. Not like the shows that Kahlan watches. There's always food and I understand that.'
Keelin rolled her eyes a little but still grinned at her familiar. "Movies tend to have a story. Usually. Plus, it gives people time to spend together."
'Yeah, but you and Reggie don't need a movie for that. You should just go out again.'
"Maybe a little later. Being out at night isn't exactly high up on my list of things to do just yet."
'Well, alright. But I don't think Reggie would let any vampires near you.' While her familiar had a valid point, it did very little to reassure her. She buttoned up the last couple of buttons of her sweater and she looked over the small collection of DVDs she had on the shelf above her television. She idly wondered if she should pick one to take over, but the thought of Sarah helping Reggie with his choice caused her to give it serious consideration.
'You should take Milo and Otis!'
"... While I'm sure Reggie wouldn't object, I'd figure you would have tired from that one by now." Still, she picked it up along with Penelope. They were both movies the girl would enjoy if they decided to join them. Movies in hand, she left her apartment, Pugsley tagging along of course. She was sure Kahlan wouldn't mind the evening to herself, especially with new thoughts of the baby growing inside. Unless, that is, Kahlan would rather not be alone. For a moment Keelin stopped and considered asking her sister if she'd prefer the company. Reggie would understand, she knew, but she reasoned that if her sister wanted her around, then she would have said as much. So she stepped across the hall and knocked on the door. Per usual, Reggie greeted her with a smile that nearly knocked her off of her feet and everything around him disappeared for a second.
"With Pugsley around, I've learned to share everything, especially food." She beamed as she walked in, pausing long enough to press a soft kiss to Reggie's lips. "No problem. It's understandable. I'm not quite stir crazy, but I'm sure I've driven Kahlan insane with incessant cleaning today."
