When the crooks are out and the streets are grey Who: Erin and Evan When: Early evening Where: Erin's place
Evan was more relieved with the events of the past few days than he was ever going to tell anyone. One, all the kids and chaperones stuck in the high school were home safe. There had been a few moments when Evan feared the worst, that they'd all be in the middle of planning all those funerals by now. He was beyond glad that hadn't turned out to be the case. Even if he didn't know anyone inside personally, it would have still been horrible for all those families. Evan would have done his job, yes, but it was better when he didn't have to. And two, when the barrier went down, all the psychics who'd touched the barrier went back to normal again. Savvy could hear, and Erin wasn't seeing the best of the worst fucked up horror movies every time she touched things.
When was the last time he'd just hung out with Erin? Too long, in his opinion. Evan decided to change that. He probably should have at least texted Erin to let him know he was coming over, but it was a bit late for that now. At least he'd showered after work and he wasn't showing up empty handed. He'd at least stopped at the store for a six pack of beer on his way over. If nothing else, they'd at least get the night started on the right foot.
So he waited outside Erin's door, knocking nonstop until it was finally open. Then, as soon as he saw his sister's face, he held up the six pack and grinned. "Special delivery!"
