Making a mental note of stealing Sam's idea when she got herself a cool book to read, Jo looked up from her attempted schedule - which featured mostly portfolios to update and deadlines to meet or extend so far. She tapped her pen against the page to the beat of the song currently playing, trying to prioritize her work from hardest and most time consuming to easiest and quickest, which she liked to do in her head before writing it down. She knew it sort of defeated the purpose of a notebook, but there it was. Watching Sam descend from his perch made for a good distraction, however, and soon her thoughts were all jumbled up again. She hadn't meant to stare, but he had good form, especially when landing.
Immediately after noticing this Jo chastised herself for doing so, and then again when her hear fluttered pleasantly upon seeing he was making his way to the bench. Pressing her lips together Jo shook her head at herself and averted her eyes, writing down 'Mixed Media collage' as she sighed. Somewhere between good form and heart aflutter her brain had decided that indeed a mixed media project would take a lot longer than anything else she had to do - but only because she had mostly managed to keep up with her daily sketchbook. Which Sam was to be thanked for, she considered. The list populated itself fairly quickly after the first item, and when Sam sat down beside her Jo made a great job of ignoring the way her facial muscles seemed hellbent on forming a genuine grin of happiness and simply smiled pleasantly instead.
Doing so, she caught Sam looking over his shoulder with some concern on his face, and followed his gaze to the trees further away. There was nothing there, but Sam's concern had gotten her concern and suddenly Jo didn't feel as settled as she had just moments ago. "What?"
