Niko was surprised that her greeting came out the way it did. She sounded almost like she was waiting for him to call. Of course that could be and probably was his wishful thinking, so he tried not to let himself think too much about it. After all, he didn't want to count his chickens before they hatched.
"No, I wasn't burying her body anywhere." he sighed, pushing his hair away from his face and pinching the bridge of his nose. "I was having a long, complicated conversation with her. I'll be home tomorrow though. And I'm bringing her and Tommy back with me."
