whose crashing down now? Who: Joseph, Daisy, Aiden and Bandit (NPC) Where: Meadow on the outskirts of town When: Afternoon Warning: Fire elementals?
BURN.
Joseph could hear it echoing in his mind, searing right down into his bones as he stood there with his hands held out, palm up. Little tiny flames were licking up along his skin, spitting up bits to flutter and die in the air. There was nothing there for them to consume and that? That was the problem. That was what Fire was so very angry about. How long had it been since he had set something larger than a couch on fire? How long since he gave into the blaze and the burn, then endless hunger that could consume everything in its path… how long? Joseph did not know. He could stand there with fire engulfing his hands and say with absolute certainty that he was going to fix that. On what he had no idea, but it was going to be done.
’Don’t forget your tagalong,’ Bandit drawled as he came waddling up. Joseph turned to glare at his furry, unasked for companion. ’Don’t look at me like that. She followed you before I did. I just don’t get lost as easy.’
Joseph swore – not under his breath – and turned to see the bubbly blonde who was walking up. He had left her in the hotel for a reason. That reason was that he had no desire whatsoever to put up with her general attitude. On some days he could handle it. Today was not one of those days. Although… he was going to burn something anyway, right?
’I won’t object.’
The elemental sneered at his familiar. “I’m not going to light her on fire.” His sneer twisted into a smile and he extended his hand towards Daisy. “She’ll just be inspiration. I’d never burn you, baby.”
