Jealousy was not a color that suited Katia very well. She would never admit to being jealous that Nikita was being affectionate with someone else -- Nikita was a grown vampire and she was more than free to be intimate with whomever she chose -- but the fact was that Nikita's attentions had never been so diverted in the past. For once, the younger vampire did not seem to completely worship the very ground Katia stood upon and that was an unwelcome change in their dynamic. A change that the blonde sought to remedy as swiftly as she possibly could. The house smelled of candles and sweet things that would have turned her stomach if she were still living and she knew that Nikita had planned something special for the Aussie vampire. Rather than hang around and intrude (not that she had any qualms about interrupting their romantic rendezvous), she decided to hit Scarlet Oak and to hit it hard.
Which explained why she was out and catching snippets of Missy's scent around. Call it curiosity or her urge to sabotage everything that was good in Nikita's life, but whatever the reason, Katia followed Missy's scent around town. Her journey initially led her to Missy's home, an empty house with darkened windows. Seems to be missing something, she mused bitterly. Her eyes were cold as she regarded the home. If it wouldn't have distressed her childe so completely, Katia would have simply done away with the Australian that annoyed her so. Truly, it wasn't a personal vendetta; she simply wanted Nikita's attention to be focused upon her in the same reverent way it once was. It was childish to be sure, but Katia was accustomed to getting what she wanted when she wanted.
In another part of town, Missy's scent was faint but stronger than other areas that she had simply passed through. Katia could tell that she had been here, at this house with a pond that almost reeked of algae. Recently too. Of course, Missy's scent was not the only one present. There was an even fainter scent of a human, an elemental if she was right, but the strongest scent belonged to another vampire. She studied the house with keen green eyes and a smirk began to play at her lips when she saw a shadow move past one of the windows. Who is home, I wonder. She moved to the back side of the house where the shadows were deeper and she was sheltered from the cold light of the streetlamps. The scent of the vampire became stronger and she saw a dark figure leaving the house silently.
"I take it this isn't your house. Sneaking around is a dead give away," She spoke from the darkness, but after a moment she remembered that her native tongue was not exactly well known among strangers. An impatient sigh escaped her because the only option was to fall back to that godawful language that she wasn't as familiar with. She moved forward so that she could be seen more clearly, the muted light shining off of the silky top she had swiped from Nikita's closet.
"Who are you?"
