No, Gia hadn't recalled that earth elementals didn't like the idea of being up in the air. She knew that particular bit of knowledge, yes, but knowing and remembering weren't at all the same thing and she often forgot. "Ah, well, yes but many photographers make their living with subjects who aren't afraid of the camera. Models do love to show off." A profession that Gia truly didn't understand. Yes in school she'd needed to use models for certain classes, but that didn't mean she really understood their usefulness. In the end a mannequin would work just as well and be less likely to blush or giggle or something of the sort. She'd have liked to use Emily as a model now that she thought of it. Her mouth was already open to ask Emily if she'd consider it -- privately of course! -- when she thought of the other night again. "I think she was more afraid of your reaction than if she'd truly hurt me," the were chortled. They all knew she wasn't the most solidly built were, or even human, but they also knew Emily was the one who had the more violent reaction when it was threatened. "No one's normal." Gia firmly believed that.
Emily's frown brought an answering one from Gia. It wasn't directed at her, but she knew who it was for. Who deserved it. Wait, who did? Doran for being blind and forcing medication on Emilia? (Gia wasn't dumb, she knew how her surrogate niece felt about those medications and how differently she acted when she was on them.) "Nysa." Gia nodded, twirling a piece of brunette hair around her finger. "But I didn't ever understand you and Neil..." That wasn't said in any way to hurt, it was just stated as fact. "I feel bad for the both of them, but perhaps a smidgen more for Nysa... I know how she feels." Or she thought she did. If anyone asked her then Gia'd admit that yes, of course she thought the two spent nights together secretly. Or not-so-secretly in the case of the prior sleepover... even she and Emily hadn't looked like that. But we are older. Her frown was wiped away when an arm went around her waist and she wriggled slightly to make herself more comfortable. Emily was always terribly gentle with her, but she didn't mind. "In general you are very comfortable to sit on, love. I'd take you over a tree anyday. But if you are missing the outdoors I've no problem flying outside." No, the problem that would arise there would come from Emily. Her concerns would be valid (birds mostly, or owls and bats) but Gia'd make the offer all the same. "It's not so cold yet that I'm trapped inside when I grow wings. We'll worry about sleeping at moonset." As usual. Gia was generally out of commission the day after the full moon and she'd begun to drag Emily into that with her.
"In other news, I'm thinking of painting my apartment." Again. Four times a year was normal. "I could paint a forest." A tiny voice whispered that she'd done that already, a few years ago, but she didn't really care. Emily would like it.
