Emilia's eyebrow rose as she watched Fantine... crouch down. Horses could do that? The children were delighted to have the horse suddenly on their level, but Emilia was wondering whether or not she would be able to get herself up again with the weight of her and the children on there. It won't break her legs, would it? She remembered reading "Black Beauty" when she was a child and it was horrifying what they would do to horses with broken legs. Oh, she doubted that Arwen would ever do that, especially with her own familiar, but the point stood that it worried her and she needed to be told that it was okay before she would even attempt to get on the horse. The nodding horse.
"Come on, mommy!" Alexander was going to come right out of his shoes if he kept going like that. And Rose was a step away from beginning to squeal.
"Okay, not a problem." It was a good thing she was not the sort to wear skirts or this may have been very awkward. First, though, she pulled her hair back into a ponytail with the tie she always kept on her wrist. Eyeing Fantine, Emilia stepped up and carefully swung her leg up and over. It felt strange to be sitting on a horse - she had never realized how wide they were! After a moment of arranging herself she thought that she had at least the idea down well enough. "Alright. I think I can take the children now, Arwen." Last thing they needed was for them to try clambering on themselves and end up going off the other side or falling back and hitting their heads.
