Fantine? Emilia was glad that she was not holding either of her children when she heard Arwen give name to her familiar. That's just cruel and unusual. There was a little pang echoing in her heart that she was trying her hardest to push down and away. Today was a good day... she was in a good mood... she did not need to ruin it by remembering why that name was significant. She was glad that Arwen had looked away from her so she did not see the pain in her eyes, and so that she did not have to see if it was reflected in hers. She could hear something unpleasant jangling around her head as it was and did not need anything else. Not really. That was more than enough for her.
"Faaaaanteeeen," Rose tried to echo, placing her small hand on Arwen's cheek. "Pretty!"
"Very pretty," Emilia echoed more quietly. She let her sister and kids lead the way, fine with following while she pushed the name away. And tried to pull her mind back in. There was an echo of something embarrassing from Arwen about her ride - she was afraid? - but besides a small smirk that she hid with her hand, Emilia did not say anything. She was very used to not openly acknowledging anything that she could do when in the presence of her family. "Your hair should be braided and you should be wearing a dress if you're really feeling Elvish." Yes, she had seen all the Lord of the Rings movies. When they reached the bank, Emilia looked around for the least muddy way down. That did not seem to be existent. "You should have a path leading down... I mean, you do spend a lot of time down there don't you?" She was a water elemental, as she had admitted quite freely, and Emilia was certain that they needed the water more than anything else.
Alexander's hand came up suddenly. "Horsie!" Emilia's head turned to follow her son's pointing and her eyes widened. That was, indeed, a horse.
