Arwen had called around to get some advice on caring for a horse, and no few places had laughed at her predicament once she took the time to explain it. One man had even gone so far as to ask how she could get a horse for a familiar and not know a thing about horses. Like Arwen had chosen this! She needed help, not judgment. After her trip into town she'd allowed Fantine to talk her into a ride - an experience that had been both liberating and absolutely terrifying, considering Fantine had warned her up-front that a saddle was never going to be an option if she valued all of her fingers. Arwen was bonding with the familiar, that was for sure. She had just dressed after getting out of the shower when the doorbell rang, and she hurried down the stairs to see who it could be.
She knew halfway down the stairs who it was, even without Emilia's call. The emotions of her niece and nephew were so strong they were impossible to not pick up on. Children usually were that way. Grinning widely, Arwen threw open the door and scooped Alexander up into her arms. "Hello, my loves!" she gushed. "Did you come to see someone?" Like she didn't know. She wasn't surprised that Emilia would ignore the text and just bring the kids over. She was only faintly surprised to not see Nysa in tow or Desi flat on their heels.
