Someone else might have said Jo was way too excited about a simple meal, but it was the full moon, she was feeling more carnivorous than usual, and, well she was hanging out with Sam. Twirling on her heels she dashed back to the counter to grab the condiments and came right back around, setting them down between the two plates. She was about to sit when she realized she had forgotten the glasses and the coke bottle. Jo did the same mad dash around the kitchen as she had before, returning with what had been missing, putting things down a little less carefully this time.
Sam couldn't deny his stomach was growling, and neither could Jo, who had heard it happen when she had gone around the table to set his plate down. Jo hadn't looked down between both initial burger bites and the mouthful of fries in between, and upon doing so she noticed Sam hadn't touched his food yet. Which, of course, made sense in his Omega brain. "Sam," she called between chewing. "You can totally eat now." Hopefully that was enough of a 'leave' that he would just do it. God, the concept of Omegas had to be the hardest thing for Jo to wrap her head around when it came to her kind's behavior.
