If Sam had actually brought the questions to Jo she would have been happy to answer them all. And that wasn't only an expression; she genuinely would have been happy to explain everything. It wasn't just that she was into helping Sam out however she could, it was that she loved talking about her pack and their fun hijinks.
While he set the placemats Jo got into what she was doing entirely too much, even more into the song currently on the radio. She sang loudly as she toasted the buns and put the patties and the bacon onto them, and kept singing as she prepared everything else. There was even time for some travelling air guitar when she went to get the condiments from the fridge. She didn't notice how he was sitting until well after the song had ended, the fries were done, and she was putting the finishing touches on their meals. Jo glanced at Sam out the corner of her eye, instinctively smiling in his direction. Once again the compulsion to tell him to straighten up invaded her, courtesy of dear mom.
Eventually things were ready, and Jo made her way to the kitchen table carrying two plates with a bacon cheeseburger each, both surrounded by as many french fries as the plate would carry. She put one in front of Sam and one on her own placemat then ran back to get the condiments. Finally, Jo sat down with a sigh. "Okay, dig in!"
