Never thought she could do that
Who: Aurora and Cheila
Where: Ice cream parlor
When: Afternoon
Aurora had left the house since the attack. Several times, in fact! And each time it had gotten a little bit easier to step or ride out of the yard without clinging to whoever she was with. The first time she was sure that she had nearly cut off Aetheria's circulation, but this time she had only clutched onto Cheila's hand. Others might view it as a little cloying, but to Aurora it was actually very mild. Neveah had assured her along the whole ride from their home to the ice cream parlor that there was nothing to worry about and of course Aurora believed her. Just like she tended to believe everything that anyone told her. But they do lie... and smile with their voices like they're nice even when they're not... The air elemental worried her lower lip at that thought. It was not a good one and she disliked having it, but it was also true. Should she tell Cheila that? No, if Cheila did not know it for herself already then Aurora was not going to ruin it for her.
Besides, they were having ice cream! Nothing bad ever happened when you were having ice cream, that was just a fact of life that Aurora had discovered when she was only very little.
She was humming quietly, a little breeze tugging at the loose pieces of hair and strings of her hoodie as she stood waiting for their turn. She had no idea that she was drawing strange looks. If she had known then it would not have bothered her, because they were better than the looks she used to look when she went out. Cheila had not said there was anything wrong with her outfit either so she should be fine, right? 'You look fine.' Aurora beamed. 'Don't eat too much ice cream.' A warning offered as the familiar went away from the window to perch in a nearby window to preen herself. "I want a banana split, I think." Aurora tapped her lips. "With gummy worms on it." That was not a sensible combination but she had a true weakness for sweet things and Aetheria had gotten her hooked on gummy things ever since she started going to the sweets shop. Turning her unseeing eyes to the side she adopted a look of almost concern. "I can have that, right? And still get the whipped cream?" The whipped cream was very important.
