Arwen had no objections at all to her family making themselves at home in her house - and in her mind, every person currently under the roof qualified as family. Gia had always been Auntie Gia and nothing in the world could change that, and Nysa... well, Nysa was special. She was kind of like a sister. Of a sort.
The younger redhead was all smiles when Gia stepped onto the deck. "I slept very well," Arwen answered. "I rather liked all the noise. There are much worse things to fall asleep to than happy family sounds." It had been extremely pleasant, actually. Her sense of empathy had helped, of course. At the end of the night, even if she had not had more than a glass of wine, she had still gone to her bed feeling warm and giddy and safe. She'd been asleep as soon as her head hit the pillow, and the world had seemed like a nice, happy cocoon. Which was kind of an interesting idea now, considering the present company.
In the beginning, when Emily had first come to live with Arwen, Arwen had waited to see if her mother would protest and move in with Gia instead. It hadn't happened yet. Arwen had a private little joke in her head that her mother was too Catholic to live in sin with someone. Either way, she liked having a full house. If her mother left, she might just have to abduct Desi and Hatee. "Were you up very late?"
