A night out with the girls. WHO: Maddie & Nikita WHERE: Heme WHEN: Evening
While it could be argued that blue was the color of water and, therefore, Maddie should detest it by default, Maddie actually owned more blue than one would expect. In fact, she was wearing quite a bit of blue tonight. She'd worn this outfit to work and, then, when she'd gotten off, she'd headed over to Heme in the same outfit. While blue was definitely not Maddie's favorite color, it usually signaled to her dad that Maddie wasn't in a mood to get in trouble. She wore red for that occasion. So, Maddie occasionally wore blue to throw her dad off. And, besides, it brought out her eyes.
Maddie had planned on bringing the new girl she'd met out tonight. Lark had been an interesting person to meet at Heme's blood donation clinic. Maddie had not been able to get a hold of the girl tonight, however, so she'd just gone on by herself. It wasn't as if the fire elemental was looking for any sort of trouble tonight. Just a drink after work to get her mind off of pouring coffee for folks all day. That she was having her drink at a vampire bar was sort of beside the point. Really. It was just sort of routine for Maddie. She wasn't looking in particular, just some interesting conversation, perhaps, about something they'd done in a very long life. Checking her motorcycle helmet, she walked into Heme and ordered a frou-frou drink at the bar from a very pale bartender. He flashed her a fanged smile as he promised to be right back and she returned it. Sans fangs, of course. Leaning back just a little without tipping over, Maddie looked around to see if she recognized anyone. She came often enough to know some of the regulars, though not often enough that anyone gave her any trouble.
