TIME UPDATE
DATE: Saturday, October 3, 2009
BIRTHDAYS: Kajsa (happy friggin birthday)
WEATHER: Cold and damp, with occasional light showers on and off through-out the day.
EVENTS: Tomorrow is the night of the full moon, there's still no progress to be seen at breaching the barrier, and known weres are inside. With that in mind, it's a little unsurprising that those in charge are getting a little desperate. They've cleared off the entire north side of the property, and no one without a military uniform is allowed within fifty feet of their set boundaries. Today they're trying a various range of explosives - some magicked, some not - to break in.
Spoiler alert: WON'T WORK, BITCHES.
But again you may ask, what about those inside the school? It's already been established (though unknown to them) that time functions at a different pace in each world. Well, two groups are advancing today.
The first to advance are those lucky guests at St. Dymphna's Home for the Hopelessly Fucked. A night has passed, and over the course of the hours, the group has managed to gather a little over half of the items remaining on the list. Just before dawn they arrived at a saferoom - the asylum's chapel - that was scheduled for safety wards for three hours, and this seemed like a good time to tend their wounds and gather their strength the best they can, all while making plans for what is still yet to come.
Unfortunately, the worst is yet to come. All remaining items will mean leaving the asylum and venturing outside. Items are found in the forest, a maintenance shed, the courtyard, and best of all - at the locked gates of the asylum, which happen to be a good half mile away from the doors of the main building. Bonus points: there are no safe zones outside. When they need a safety zone, they'll have to go back inside to find one - and they won't always be close to the entrances. It's also pouring rain outside, and even in the daylight, visibility is low.
Have fun with that.
Also advancing are those lucky bastards at the SUPER Dark Carnival. Where last we left them, Juliette had shifted and split from the group, promising to scout ahead and come back if she found a way out. But, hey, who is Juliette anyway? This super new student no one really knows very well? That no one has any way of knowing if she's telling the truth or not? Yeah, that's fantastic.
The good news is they now have a map of the grounds. The bad news is the map shows this place is basically the size of Disney World, and they're pretty much in the dead center. There are many different paths that could be taken, and it seems like there's a chance of underground passageways between staff buildings. There's nothing to do but go on and hope Juliette knows what she's doing.
No matter what the group tries to do, they will cross paths with Juliette eventually. Trust us, it's safety in numbers.
