Lonely fires need what? Who: Josh and Gabby, with Crayola(NPC'd!) Where: Sherry's Bakery When: afternoon, around 3pm
Today, thankfully, Gabby's dad had been able to get off from work a little early to pick her up from class over at the university. She had not wanted to wait all of three hours to get home like she'd been used to waiting. It was her own fault, in some ways, she knew, but that didn't stop her from being grumpy about it. Upon her return, her familiar took one look at her and came right up to press his face against hers. She was in another one of her moods, and it showed. After a lot of pestering, Urist had convinced her to go spend time with someone who always seemed to brighten her spirits. Her dad had even offered to drive her over to Harper's, but Gabby decided that she wouldn't mind hobbling over by herself. It was chillier than she liked it, but using her crutches made her warm, her cheeks red by the time she made it to Sherry's Bakery. It was Harper's now, and she was very much looking forward to being in the company of another fire elemental. Her dad was great, but he wasn't really what she needed right now. Fumbling with the door had taken some doing, but eventually she'd gotten the door open. "Heeeeeey, Harper!" she called as she barely got in the shop.
Looking around the shop, the brunette did not see hide nor hair of her favorite fire elemental. Eyes lighting upon the gray fluffy fur belonging to Crayola, who was laying on the counter next to the cash register, Gabby smiled. "Hey there, gorgeous. Any chance you wanna tell me where Harper went?"
Swishing his tail with his bright yellow eyes narrowed at her, Crayola's voice filled her mind with its normal snarky tone. 'You think flattery works on me?' He blinked very deliberately, staring her down for a moment. Gabby met his gaze with just a slight tilt of her head to the side, eyebrows raised. '...she's in the back, doing inventory. At the rate she's going, she might be done next week.' Rolling her eyes, Gabby continued to move into the shop and took a seat at one of the little tables. "Well, if it takes all week, I won't mind. I'm content to sit and wait to get some Harper-time." She ignored the look Crayola gave her in favor of turning to look at door, where someone else was walking inside.
Sizing him up as he entered the shop, Gabby smirked. "Take a number, sexy. I got here first," she said, flashing him a grin with her eyebrow quirked. "If you're here to see Harper, that is. If you're after something else, I could care less."
