I'ma kick ass all the way to Hong Kong! Who: Tessa and Lux (and Tessa's familiar Inaki, NPC'd) Where: The Red Dragon Dojo When: Early afternoon
Another slow day in the dojo, and Tessa was starting to lose her mind a little bit. It wasn't as if there wasn't a good reason, of course - she was just as worried about the kids and teachers still stuck in the high school as everyone else - but she couldn't just stand here and do nothing for much longer. If she couldn't help out at the school, and without students to teach at the dojo, then she had to do something else. Seeing Jackson had helped, as Tessa loved hanging out with him, but he wasn't around right now, and she didn't know where Troy was. If her brother so much as thought about setting foot in the dojo, then he was going to get roped into a spar, no ifs, ands, or buts.
For now, though, she was working through her own personal kata, trying to focus her energy into something positive. Perhaps she'd text Naoki and see if he wanted to do something, seeing as she hadn't heard from the witch in quite some time. Or Langston, oh, Lang could be a good choice too, he was fun. If you keep getting distracted, you are not going to finish your routine properly, Inaki reminded her from his bed in the corner. I do not wish to see you hurt.
"Psh, you worry too much." Tessa stopped, turning to face the fox. "I know what I'm doing."
If Inaki could have, he would have raised an eyebrow in her direction. That is precisely what I was afraid of.
She was going to say something else, but heard the front door of the dojo open instead. "Someone's here! I GOT IT!" she called to no one in particular, just in case Troy was upstairs and listening. And with that, she took off running to see who it was.
