"It makes sense," Lauren told her with a smile. "Trust me, that's by far not the most confusing direction I've been given." She held out a hand. "Nice to meet you, Keira. I'm Lauren." She looked at the crown Keira had picked out, then went back to her station for the sketchbook she'd laid aside. "So, the same general shape," she said, sketching as she spoke, "but better definition and a little more feminine, yes?" The basic outline took form quickly enough, with more angular lines closer to a tiara versus the traditional, more masculine crown shape. She then began to doodle some, filling the outline with delicate filigree loops and spirals. It was just a quick sketch, so nothing overly complicated, but enough that it conveyed her idea and could be cleaned up and polished if that's what she chose.
Spinning the sketchpad around, Lauren presented her doodle to Keira. "Something like this, maybe?" she asked. "I think the crown is a cute idea. We can go a couple different ways with it, too. This is the more medieval style, with the points, but we can also do something along the imperial route, with the arches converging on a center ornament. The medieval style probably lends itself a little more to the femininity you're looking for, but I'm pretty sure it could be done the other way, too. What do you think?"
