Cooked snake? Faith's nose curled up a little at the thought. Of course she had had cooked snake before - look at some of the places she had lived! - but it was not her favorite. She much preferred it raw. "How can you know you'd prefer it cooked if you haven't had it raw? It's much better that way, no matter what form you're in. Cooked just takes all the flavor out and makes it more like... chicken." She could show him. One day she would show up with cooked snake in her lunchbox and offer it as chicken, see if he could tell the difference without taking a whiff of the smell. "But yeah, know that." Her grin was wide as she folded her arms over her chest. "Been to a lot of them. I was a travel writer before they nailed me down here. Best snake is in the Amazon if you ask me." They had a really good way of spicing it up that just brought out all the flavors... they had even been willing to take on a piece of a lamiae, though she and Frankie had not let them eat it. A lot of her favorite techniques had come from there.
A shrug of her shoulders was her first response to the question. Sometimes she caught herself responding more like her girlfriend than herself in situations like this. "Yeah, it's not really that bad. A little dull... but I can handle it. My Frankie?" Faith chuckled and shook her head. "I think she's about to go stir crazy and she only just got here right before the bridge blew up." At least this place had good events to timeline things by. Bridge explosions, the high school being contained by a giant bubble... but still only the one lamiae that she had taken care of. Oh, and the other professor. She really needed to work out how she was going to be able to get her claws into that one. Had she mentioned her to Frankie yet? Probably not or else the other were might have tried going for her. "But I like having labs again, I've kinda missed them. It's nice to get back into science instead of just writing about things. Even if I think some of the kids just took my class because they thought it'd be easy or about killer cobras or whatever catches their fancy these days." Had she ever been like them? "How's your semester?"
