Who: Teddy and Lucia
When: Late morning
Where: Local electronics store
Lucia's days were largely unstructured, given that she worked evenings - she did errands when she absolutely had to, but otherwise spent a lot of time bumming around, going shopping, and eating cheeseburgers, which were the food gods' gift to mankind. The one thing that was absolutely a priority right now, however, was staying the fuck away from the high school and whatever wonky juju was going down there. The crowds were insane, which would be fun if she wanted to go jack some wallets, but the hefty police presence made that a bad idea waiting to happen. So avoidance it was.
This morning's adventure had her seeking out the local electronics shop, a fairly decently-sized joint with a lot of bleep bloops and a decent electrical grid that she could take some hits off of if the mood struck. It wasn't actually her reason for hitting up the shop - she was in the market for a new cell phone after some drunk jerk had given hers a beer bath the night before. And since hers was unsalvageable, might as well upgrade.
So after a brief stop at McDonalds for greasy food and coffee, a slightly-hungover Lucia found herself browsing the cell section for a shiny new smartphone. As she turned to another display, she accidentally bumped shoulders with a WASP-y looking woman in head-to-toe Chanel. "Sorry," she said, half her attention already on the phones - but not so much so that she didn't notice the disdainful sniff paired with a sneer as the woman gave her an elevator glance. Lucia scowled right back - sure, she was in post-hangover bum-around clothes, a chunky black sweater over tight white tank paired with purple unicorn leggings and fleecy black boots, but there was nothing wrong with them. She'd been seen in public in worse.
The woman turned away with another sniff, and Lucia rolled her eyes. "Bitch," she muttered under her breath. Narrowing her eyes for a moment, she reached out with her ability and fried the woman's phone, a trick that took so little effort it was hardly worth thinking about. Adequate revenge taken, she turned back to her contemplation of new phones.
