"Ohhh, right." Jo nodded. As someone who not long ago had had a similar experience and ended up naked behind a tree trunk talking to a stranger just to get to know his name, Jo understood completely Sam's predicament. "I actually met Jackson like that." She wondered if Sam had heard of Jackson. Had she told anyone? She couldn't remember, but hopefully she had at least told August. An alpha needed to know these things. "He's a wolf too, not from around here. We ended up talking for a while from behind trees, on account of us being butt naked." She snickered softly at the memory.
Jo didn't like to dwell on it, but the smallest hint of a smile on Sam's lips actually made her heart flutter a little bit, her eyes widening in awe. She'd made him smile a little! This was amazing and unique and almost forgotten when he revealed the wolf's sex. "Oh." To her dismay Jo had to actually fight the urge to feel jealousy; it was stupid, senseless and a can of worms she would never, ever open. "Did she seem frightened by you?" Well it was better than asking Was she hot?.
