The tea was a special homemade blend that Sage created out of the old house in Ann Arbor. Allegra was more or less certain that the tea held no magical properties. What it did possess, however, was a hint of lemon and orange. Usually, Allegra considered this more of a summer tea, but she needed a pick-me-up that reminded her of a warm summer breeze. Placing a healthy amount into a strainer - which then went into a ceramic tea pot - Allegra poured hot water over the leaves and took the whole thing over to where Willow was sat. Teacups and saucers followed before Allegra took her seat. "I don't think there necessarily is a good time but I think he would appreciate the call anyway," Allegra responded, reaching for a muffin from the pile she'd made the morning before. As for Willow's comment on the balance, Allegra's brow furrowed as she watched her daughter's scales. "I don't think this is balance at all. There is something wrong with this whole situation, just like the flowers in the park."
The other side of the universe had a lot of catching up to do.
'Allegra, feed the cat a steak, would you? From the way it's looking at me, I think it's hungry.'
Smiling at her familiar, Allegra didn't even formulate a proper response, though from the direction of her thoughts, Moll got the picture that Allegra was doing nothing of the sort. Not to mention she didn't actually have steak in the freezer right now. Returning her attention to Willow, Allegra reached for the tea pot to begin pouring. "Are you opening the store later?" she asked, trying to seem like the answer wasn't incredibly important. Allegra knew the kind of children she'd raised, though, and knew that Venus was out there - somewhere - trying to write a story about the school.
