Ice did not think that, technically, he was disallowed from telling people what he did with Omega. It was more like he was discouraged because it could get them in trouble or something like that. No, not even, it was just... probably like going around telling someone you were in the secret service or something. You could do it but if you did and something happened then it might be understandable if everyone looked at you as the cause. Or you would feel really guilty if something happened to them because of you... the witch gave a little shrug, still grinning the same grin that he had before. "I'm a witch," he replied, nudging his bag full of spellbooks and such with his foot. "I go around doing spells and figuring out what made this happen or why that did... witch for hire?" Not exactly but it was kind of right... he got paid to do what he did. He did not do it strictly out of the goodness of his heart - he did have a good enough heart, yes - but because he got to learn things that he never would have if he stayed in Minnesota. Knowledge was just what he craved. "Come on, tell me that you can't picture someone somewhere wanting to kidnap a witch because he could spin up a spell, or they think he could... happens, Arden."
The baboon, meanwhile, had paused in his eating of the banana and started to do something that he very rarely did: eat it carefully. True, he was bouncing a little and bouncing in a moving vehicle was not careful, but for him it was... 'I'm being careful, I promise!' Mostly said just because he did not want to get tossed out of the car and left to find his way back to the hotel on his own. He could see Ice doing that.
Laughing, Ice leaned a little further back, pulling one of his knees up to his chest to make himself more comfortable. His shoes were clean, he was sure that Arden would not object too much. So long as she was still able to turn her head and stare at his 'andsome self as she so called it. Yeah he was grinning like an idiot over that and no he was not even going to try and tone that down. Why would he? The pretty French redhead was hitting on him. "Cool." For the high school, not the illegal whatever that Rafiki only just had time to flatten himself against the door in preparation for before it happened. 'Hey! I thought you didn't want me splattering banana all over!! Ice, if she makes me do it because she's driving worse than Maxine does if she's on her way to a new library then it's NOT my fault.' Ice just shrugged, drumming his fingers on his leg. Arden was a good distraction, yes, but the high school had been brought to the forefront of his mind again and the idea of what was happening there was warring with her presence.
"God I hate the military," Ice groaned at the sight of the high school. "They ruin everything." All he wanted to do was see what was going on, but no, the military had to be there. Rubbing at the back of his neck he shrugged and popped open his door once Arden had parked, reaching back to pluck Rafiki out by his tail. "No harm in trying, right? And of course you're coming along just to see... if we can't, then well... kidnapping. Lunch or something." He glanced around. "Judging by this mess, any place not near here will be nice and unoccupied." Was the whole population of Scarlet Oak jam-packed in a square mile radius?
