Venus had expected as much, but she'd felt the need to ask anyway. "I hope your partner's driving," she simply said. "I can't give you too much grief about it. Not yet. I haven't slept much myself." She sighed, and propped one arm behind her head. "I'll have to, tonight. I can't keep running on fumes like this, and you shouldn't either. A couple hours would be better than nothing." She knew weres could do extraordinary things, but even they couldn't run forever on no sleep.
"I need to go home tonight for a bit anyway," she went on. "I want to try scrying, and I can't do it here. I tried, but it's too noisy. Too many people. It's impossible to concentrate." Venus didn't know if she would be capable of seeing what was happening inside the school, but she had to try. At least it was something to do that wasn't sitting around and waiting. That part was driving her mad.
