She should have never come here. Renee almost hazarded at 'should have never left', but that wasn't quite true. What she should have done was forgo the flimsy possibility of comfort in family and move somewhere nice on her own. She had the money, it was nothing but sentimentality that kept her here, in a place her own brother didn't want her.
And now, this town showed to be the freakiest place on the goddamn planet. Renee had actually been doing some shopping while looking around town for places to rent or buy, wondering whether to actually settle down, maybe invest in a business. Then, she had gone to see a movie. And then, the second she'd left the theater and turned on the radio in her car, she'd gotten the news. When she walked into Quentin's apartment Renee was fully set on drinking herself into oblivion, she had even stopped by a liquor store and gotten herself some middle shelf whiskey. It was a pleasant surprise that she came to find Quentin already on the couch with a glass in his hand. "Evening to you too." She said, setting her own bottle on the counter next to the rest. She hanged her jacket and handbag and got herself a glass, pouring it already sitting next to her little brother. "So I take it the recent events have gotten to you a little?"
