Her head did not ache because someone had thrown something at it - no one had thrown anything at it because whatever had been about to come at her had been dropped when she had successfully iced over the now-screaming mother - but because of all of the thoughts that were ripping and tearing their way through it. Darklis and Lumen and Pancho, oh god Pancho's might have been the worst because of what he was - oh no dear lord they did what to that boy?! - seeing when he touched things and he seriously needed to stop with the whole touching things... no, her group's thoughts were nowhere near the worst. The worst, the absolute worst, were the rednecks. Because they were getting pissed. Dalila was stood there, almost in a daze, as Pancho yanked Lumen away from her and Darklis threw herself at the big papa, hands pressed to the sides of her head as she tried to sort out all of the thoughts racing through her head. It was amazingly hard, like the first day at a new school always was. The rednecks were in a frenzy - like sharks, like Rico and mom when the moon... - and none of them were any better, she was nearing a hysterical panic. Pancho and Lumen were too far away from her and Darklis was turning. Turn, go with them. There, that was her own voice in her head and she obeyed it, turning on her bare heels and shuddering at the thought of the blood that had soaked into this floor and how it had gotten there, following after them and ignoring the threat that raced through her head from the woman curled up on the floor with her hands clutched to her eyes. "You deserve worse," she hissed as she went, stopping short when she realized Lumen was screaming and throwing herself at someone who was holding an - "LUMEN, DO-" Too late, she had done it. And she had not been chopped into bits in the process.
Dalila's head whipped around when Darklis appeared and she pressed herself back against the wall when the blonde went flying past, squeezing her eyes shut when the axe hit the back of her head, hand pressed against her mouth to keep the whimper as quiet as she could manage. Not that it mattered because from all of the sounds the other two in the house, the ones not out of commission, knew where they were. One is too old to do anything, I know that, and the other... Dalila zoned out briefly, her hands closing around the handle of something that was shoved at her without realizing what it was as she stretched out for thoughts that were not centered on snapping the neck of 'that bitch with the fangs who winded me' or oh no, she did not want to focus on those thoughts because they were about her specifically to zone in on... where was she? A she, it was a she, and she was... not in the house... not in the house... there was a crashing sound, splintering, Dalila looked up and saw that the door was open. That was good, right? Right, good, outside was... no, not good. Her head was not agreeing that that was a good idea and she was shaking it, her eyes wide and panicked as she tightened her grip on - "How did I get an axe?" Not important. "Not important. Someone's out there." She held her other hand up and spread all five fingers and wriggled them in front of her face before glancing back. They were stirring back there. Damn, she had not blinded mama redneck, just blurred her vision up really good in the one eye... scratched a cornea, maybe, definitely bloodied her face. "Five, I can hear five. Them, him, someone pretty old... a girl? A girl, it's a girl, she's out there." But she still moved forward because one was better than four, right? Only there was still that niggling feeling in the back of her head, something she had heard in a thought, that told her no, there was something wrong out there, but like hell she was staying behind. What if her telepathy cut out again? Deaf girl would be an easy meal.
Meal. Dalila had never thought of herself as a meal for anyone, not once in her life, but the next thought that passed through her head came courtesy of the old man and it painted her as, well, a steak. "Yeah, let's go." She offered the axe out towards Pancho. "Maybe you should take it. Think you're stronger."
