going a little stir crazy
Who: Cole and Devon
Where: Landers' household
When: Afternoon
Just because the power went out all of homecoming was cancelled. Okay, not all of it. They had still had the week and that was great, but the most important part was done for. Moved. Just a day, but that 'just a day' seemed like an eternity when you were a fifteen-year-old boy stuck inside on a rainy, dreary day and you had been looking forward to that dance all week because it was your only chance to get out of the house except for school. Cole was going stir crazy and when he went stir crazy he tended to take it out on the rest of the family and when that happened... he tended to get in trouble. For example. Today he had gotten his skateboard taken away after he had gone zooming through the kitchen for the third time and after that he had felt it was pretty much necessary to make use of his telekinesis. Since he was tired of making inanimate objects float he had turned his attention on the first moving thing that had crossed his line of sight. So it had happened to be a familiar. So it had happened to be Lambykins. And so it had caused Isolde to have a temper tantrum of epic proportions and he had gotten sent up to his room. The familiar had seemed to enjoy himself and it had been hilarious. Worth it. And now he was just stretched out on his bed, head hanging down with his hair resting on the floor while he waited for Devon to show up.
He already had a few towels tossed on the chair over by the door for her since she was going to be soaked and the last thing he needed was for his entire room to be that way. Just because he lived with two water elementals did not mean that he liked having the stuff all over the place. It was actually the opposite. At the sound of the doorbell he rolled off the bed and bolted, grabbing a towel on the way and taking the stairs three at a time. "GOT IT!" he shouted, skidding to a stop before yanking it open. A grin spread across his face as he took in the sight of the drenched girl on the other side. "I just love a girl in orange," he drawled as he stepped back to make room for Devon to come in, towel stuck out in front of him for her to grab and use once she had taken her rain jacket off. "Matches my hair and watch soooooo well that it's like you knew. Good to see you managed not to drown on your way over, I was starting to get worried." Hopefully he could get her up to his room before Isolde showed up and said something about him being a menace to her familiar. Next time he would see if he could get the guy up on the roof. Lambykins would probably be all for it, the little dude was a great sport.
