Haughty laughter rolled past her lips as the redhead stepped forward. Emyli's gaze softened and her lips were curled into an amused smirk. It was hard not to think that you were the greatest thing since sliced bread when even the classier folks were prone to take you up on your suggestions, at least that's what Emyli found to be true. Even if she had known the true reaction that her wardrobe and her words had elicited, she would not have cared. She would never apologize for the things she wore or liked and when the worst thing that could happen was someone would tell her 'no,' there was no reason for her to change her ways. She had no reason to suspect that there could be anything other than getting trashed and naked on the redhead's mind. Especially when the zipper of her jacket was suddenly being played with. Emyli fiddled with her purse, pulling out her cell phone and scrolling through the contacts. "I know of a few people who don't let the power ruin their night, but they're in Ann Arbor. If you're up for splitting a cab fare?" She filtered through the various numbers to cab companies she had -- she had several saved for nights like this -- and selected the one that would cost the least and probably smelled the worst because of it.
Emyli made the call without waiting for Eileen's response; even if she opted out of the invitation, Emyli still planned on finding a party and crashing for the rest of the night. She even sent out a few feeler texts to see who was awake and who had enough booze and drugs to attract her like a moth to flame. "Irish, huh?" Emyli looked up from her phone. Small talk may not have been a favorite of her pastimes, but at least it would make the time pass by quicker as she waited in the rain for the cab. "Why the hell are you in Scarlet Oak?" Ever since the Light of May, so many people had moved to the small town and she had to wonder just why. What was so attractive about a tiny Michigan town? If she had any aspirations and more money, she would have left. The only problem was that the cost of living anywhere else was just too much for her comfort zone. "My name's Emyli, by the way. Of course, you're welcome to call me anything you want with that accent."
