In many ways the question surprised Venus, and it showed. She blinked and sat up a little straighter, and took a moment to determine how to answer. It wasn't just the question that surprised her - and honestly, disturbed her a little - but the fact that she'd never thought about it at all, not really. She'd worried that Trent would object to putting the wedding back on track for some sort of wolfish reason, or because of his pack. Never that he himself might not be ready.
"He mated to me, August," she said, simply. "I would think that's settling down right there." Hadn't the problem always been that Trent didn't see the point to rush into the wedding when, by his standards, it was already a done deal? "It's done," she said. "By your terms, it's been done for years. I want it done by mine, now, and he agreed."
