Hello, friend; it's been so long
WHO: Nora & Julian
WHERE: Streets, downtown-ish
WHEN: Midday
It had actually been a fairly calm day as far as the hospital was concerned. Unfortunately, Julian's appointment right before lunch was a Great Dane who didn't react well to being poked, prodded, and inspected. Despite his were strength, Julian was exhausted after that appointment and took an extended lunch so he could walk to a cafe and walk back. Munching on an apple as he walked back to work (taking a rather scenic route through town), he slowed his speed down to a slow stroll. He looked into restaurants through their windows, looking simply like any curious passerby to someone who didn't know better. Truth was, he was kind of looking out for Marisa. Even if he was wearing light blue scrubs with little yellow ducks on them. He still didn't really feel right calling her to see how she was doing since they'd not really settled anything at the park, though they'd acted civilly towards each other. He was having a hard time making sense of it all still and he really wanted to have a talk with August...even if the other guy seemed to be dealing with some problems of his own. Julian needed to fix that. Though with the whole...Sam issue that Julian did not necessarily deal with very well, he was sort of trying to stay away from getting in too much additional trouble. Still, who could blame him for being protective of Lotti? Surely not August.
Julian's brain was so full of random thoughts that he didn't even notice as he straight up walked into a person. Dropping his apple core, Julian reached out to steady her. "Geez, sorry, I should really be looking where I'm going," he apologized immediately. He often forgot he was a really tall, really large person because he felt really small around his father and around August (even if the man was smaller than he) but he towered over a lot of people. Letting the woman go, he reached down to pick the apple core up and tossed it into a conveniently well-placed wastebasket. Rubbing the back of his neck, he looked at her sheepishly. "Are you okay? I'm really sorry..." he trailed off as he took another moment to really look at her face. She seemed awfully familiar, though Julian couldn't really quite place it.
