Simon, on the other hand, had no idea that the guy he'd run into would take this all personally. He was too busy trying to dry himself off with the one napkin he'd grabbed before leaving the coffee shop, all while being to feel Charmander squirming around in the pocket of his jacket. For all that talk about how familiars were supposed to help you boost your powers and all of that, it seemed like Simon spent more time taking care of Charmander instead. Probably because he'd gotten the tiny, squishy familiar instead of like, a jaguar or a tiger or something.
HEY. I can still hear everything in your head you know and it's not very nice to think of me that way!
Simon sighed, finally digging the salamander out of his pocket. "Some days, you are impossible," he said to his familiar, before turning to the other guy again. "No worries, I'm fine. Not the first time I've dropped coffee on myself, won't be the last either." For some reason, the younger man looked... skittish, for some reason. It wasn't like Simon was going to hurt him! "Oh, and ignore the salamander, he's got an opinion on everything, no matter if you want to hear it or not."
