Trust funds had always simultaneously intimidated and fascinated Savvy. The kids who'd had them had always seems so powerful somehow, nothing seemed out of their reach, and fascinated because she'd always fantasised what her life might have been like, how different it might have been, if she'd had one. Finding out that she had been, in a way, so close to actually having access to one had kind of dulled the shine on the whole thing. Her father -- if that was even the right word for him when he wanted nothing to do with her -- had made it very clear that he wanted no part in his illegitimate daughter's life, though on some level Savvy was grateful for the fact that he had paid for one of her schools. That didn't mean he cared for her at all though, just that he'd paid her mother off, in a way. Charming, really.
Savvy picked up on that solid intention and she couldn't help but smile. It was reassuring to know that he was interested and wasn't just humouring her. It wasn't every day she met a fellow artist, or such a skilled one at that. Pulling a face as if he'd just let her in on a huge secret she nodded her head in a slow and sage manner. "Gotcha," she said, before breaking into a smile again. She laughed at the encouragement of the word she'd tossed his way but she didn't pounce on the opening straight away. Better not to be too predictable. "Me?" Tattoos? Savvy had thought about them but never been brave enough to get one. "Not right now." She shook her head. "I'm one of those people who thinks about it too much. 'What if I don't like it, what if it goes wrong, what if I change my mind?' You know what I mean." Her free hand waved in a vague gesture as if to say what can you do. "And I always thought I'd look kind of ridiculous with one, honestly."
