If Savvy had had any idea that she was face to face with another hybrid -- ironic really, that they were talking about hybrid art styles when they were hybrids themselves -- in terms of supernatural abilities then she might have been even more excited then she already was. She could pick up bits and pieces from Quentin but not the whole story, she heard snippets when she was trying to hold down conversations unless they were thinking in clear, linear lines and right now this guy was not doing that. She didn't mind though, that made it more interesting, and she liked it better that way. Being able to get into someone's head and hear what they really thought, good or bad? Not as awesome as people made it out to be.
Savvy could pick up on that genuine interest though and it was warming, comforting in a way she couldn't really describe. She loosened her hold on the slip of paper a little, freeing it up so that he could take it if he wanted to, otherwise she would just hand it over to him when a natural opening presented itself. "Oh god, pottery." Savvy pulled a face, scrunching her nose up and shaking her head enough to make her red hair sway around her shoulders and collarbone. She hated pottery, always had, and it just hated her for some reason. "Awesome," she said when he told her he was going to grab a sketchbook and she watched his dash out and-- oh wow, okay no, that amazing car outside was not his. Savvy felt her bottom jaw drop, her mouth still hanging open when he turned back to return to the store. She managed to snap it shut again before he actually came back inside but she continued to look over his shoulder at the vehicle beyond the store that was his. Not in a million years would she have called that.
And then he was back in front of her and she remembered to look down at the book, a smile coming easily and immediately to her face. "Oh wow, that is awesome." She angled her head a little to get a look at it from another angle. "I love it." And she really did, Savvy wasn't the type to sugar coat or exaggerate when it came to art, she told it like it was. "I went through a phase with dragons, I don't know what it was, I just started doodling them one day, but--" She shrugged. "Nothing like this though." Because wow. His design or not, it was epic.
