Daisy could spot a nice guy from a mile away; the kind of guy that holds open doors for no other reason than to be kind, or the type of guy that would gladly give her the shirt off his back if he thought she needed it. She had no idea to what lengths this man would go to for her, but she knew beyond any shadow of doubt that this was one such nice guy. She offered him her brightest smile, which held the slightest but of flirtation to it, just before she took his hand. “Not hurt at all! You learn how to take a spill when you wear heels like this.” She made sure to extend her foot out for his inspection before giving herself the proper foundation to stand up on. Once she was up right again, Daisy did not release the hold she had on the stranger’s hand. Instead, she gave it a firm shake before letting go and allowing her fingertips to trail down his hand as they left. For most women, her actions thus far may have come off as a little much. There was flirtation and then there was laying it on thick, but Daisy had enough goofy innocence that it came off as more a part of her personality than something she was forcing on someone.
“Rosie Moore,” she said, keeping the smile on her face. If Joseph wasn’t there to help her with fake names, Daisy had the horrible habit of falling back on types of flowers as her alias. It was an unfortunate and telling habit, one that would give her away if anyone had a clue. She had learned that it was important to give people false names just in case one of them got the idea to run off to the police. While she knew that Joseph was a wanted man, she wasn’t entirely sure if the name “Daisy-Mae Monroe” had found its way into the search as well; either way, it was better to be safe than sorry. “It’s a pleasure to meet you, even though you nearly tackled me.” She giggled, as was her tendency to do. “I’m sure it will work itself out.” There was a beat of silence while she looked at the man, obviously not realizing that her statement made no sense to anyone but her until a few seconds later. “Whatever you were thinking about that had your mind occupied! I’m sure it will work itself out.” She smiled and nodded as if that would reinforce her statement. Of course, Daisy was doing a lot more than simply exchanging small talk; she was looking him over to see where would be the most likely spot for his wallet to reside.
