Yesterday... Linnea was trying very hard not to think about yesterday. She had not slept well because of the things that Cheila had said or the ones that had lingered in her mind even after the air elemental had gone. They had roared at her when she had seen Satu and even this morning when she had risen to make breakfast and send them off to school she could not keep herself from biting lightly at her hand to keep from frowning as she watched Satu leave. Her children had always been just a little different. There had always been little something's lingering about them even before Linnea had known the truth, but once she had been told... then she had seen it much more clearly. Now? Now she did not know what to think. Satu was far too young to be anything resembling a danger, was she not? Yes, she was Jokull's daughter and had his blood, but blood was not everything. Linnea was adamant that that was true. But Cheila had been so sincere and all that Linnea could do was think about what she needed to do because of it. Was there anything she could do? Should she tell Satu that Cheila had come and she knew what her youngest had dreamed about? One of the elemental's hands drifted down to touch her stomach almost protectively, rubbing the dark material and wondering if it was possible that she would have another Leif and Kajsa situation on her hand. Only it would be so different. There had been only a handful of years between her eldest children and now there was over a decade.
'I hope that you are worrying too much.' Strike shared from where he was tucked away under the collar of her shirt. 'Also I hope that you remember the reason why Leif is pulling into the driveway.' Linnea just nodded as she peered out the window and watched Leif get out of his car. She did not quite like the look of what he was carrying, but she did remember that she had agreed to let him do... something with blood magic. She preferred not to think too much about these things. Instead she focused just on the fact that Leif was here for elemental lessons, of all things, and she let everything from yesterday go as much as she could. It was not swept away, it was eddying over on the bank, but she could focus on Leif instead. She at least owed him her full attention if he was willing to request lessons from her.
Moving to the door when she heard the knock, Linnea smoothed down her shirt once more and then rolled her shoulder to encourage Strike to slide his head out so that he was at least visible before she actually opened it. "Good morning, Leif," she greeted, standing to the side so that he could step inside and allow her to close the door again. The last thing she wanted was to see that vampire stood there again. Yes it was daylight, but she had seen Nikita out during the day. Her eyes flicked down to the container that he was carrying. "Which part would you like to do first? After, of course, I get you something to drink. Would Miakoda like anything?"
