There were a lot of reasons why today was a good idea, to Lotti. The past few days had been ... well. Horrible would be putting it lightly. For her, probably the worst experience of her life, to date, had been switching forms with Marisa. Marisa, who she had learned had been involved with Julian, the pack member she'd taken to calling Uncle Julian even though they were in no way related -- he was pack and he was really cool. His sisters were really fun to pal around with, too, and she had let him know that she would babysit for him any time he wanted. Wolves needed to stick together! Which is why she'd made it a point to seek him out once she'd gotten her form back. Marisa had not really told her a lot of what happened, but Lotti was not so young to realize that there were two sides of the story. With adults, there was always a good reason for why they did things, and she didn't think Julian was a bad person. To the contrary, Lotti thought he was awesome -- he was a vet! Animals were very cool, and she imagined it'd be fun to help them all day. Hence why she was looking into what all a person would have to do to become one. That was part of the reason why she wanted to talk to Julian.
The other reason? Oh, that was easy. Even if what happened between Marisa and Julian wasn't exactly her business, it was still in her nature to cheer people up, especially pack members. And Julian had even suggested it, because he had wanted to cheer her up because of her snow-leopard ordeal. It was win-win-win, because it involved ice cream, and what person didn't like ice cream? Even if it was a little chilly for it, Lotti didn't really take cold like most people. Adjusting her beanie as she walked, Lotti took a little skip step as she walked alongside Julian down the street. The ice cream shop wasn't too far now, and then she had every intention of eating something delicious and unhealthy and asking 'Uncle Jules' why August hated Marisa so much. Right around the time she had settled on some form of chocolate ice cream in her mind, the scent of an unfamiliar wolf hit her senses. She skipped to a halt and looked around, pinpointing where it was coming from. Catching sight of a man with a backpack who was leaning against the side of a building just across the way, Lotti smiled and skipped right over.
"Hi!" She stepped up to the other wolf with a bounce, waving her hand in greeting as she flashed a smile. This man looked like he was sad, or...lonely...and that just wouldn't do. "Are you new in town? I've never smelled you before!" Was it normal for other wolves to just waltz up and talk to newcomers? And was Lotti stepping over any boundaries? Probably, but she was being friendly, and obviously they had the most important thing in common. If anyone tried to make her understand that she was being reckless, she'd probably just laugh. Turning her head to look over her shoulder, she smiled at her older pack-mate. "C'mon, Uncle Julian!" She waved him over as she turned back to the man. "I'm Lotti! What's your name?"
