That little blink of surprise in Bella's eyes amused Odin; he supposed he probably did not look the type to be so attached to his family, although he wondered what that type did look like. A quest for another time. Bella's living arrangements seemed perfect in Odin's eyes, and he smiled in knowing she was still physically close to the closest of their members. Odin had aunts and uncles of his own but those were busy on their own angelic work, although he supposed with three siblings and both parents he didn't need any more family members to feel good. When Bella mentioned her mother Odin slid his arm across the table to squeeze her hand softly. "I am sorry about your mother." Then, he smiled. "But it's good to be close to family, isn't it? However crazy they make you I just...I couldn't imagine being too far away from them, honestly." He confessed.
"Do you get together in a big way on holidays and days like that? I've always loved that, although I suppose to us, we've been together more than we've been apart, a big holiday get-together is like what happens every day!" It did bring him back to when him and his brother were off competing for the biggest number of university degrees and they were very seldom home. Then holidays and birthdays - when they could make it home - really meant something.
