Of all the things the girl (probably) could have done, Venus never expected any of them to actually make her sick. And it did. Even though she wasn't moving and nothing else had moved, she felt a queer sensation in both her stomach and her head that was kind of like motion-sickness. She wasn't sure if she was going to fall over or vomit or both, but it was a bit too much for her puny human brain to deal with all at once like that.
Venus staggered slightly and caught herself on where the wall should have damn well been, but feeling that she was holding herself up on something that wasn't even there only made the feeling worse. "Oh, God, change it back," Venus mumbled, closing her eyes. She took a few deep breaths, but she could smell the snow, and that nearly made it worse. Raphaela seemed to think so, too, because she plunked right down at Venus' feet. "Change it back," Venus said again. "I believe you. And also please get in here before my neighbors think I'm crazy."
