have you got it in you? Who: Liliya and Lizbeth Where: Liliya's home When: 7:58 p.m.
Since last night had proven to be such a disappointment, Liliya's hopes for tonight were nowhere near as high as they had been. Yes, she was aware that she was going to be meeting a completely different girl on the opposite side of the spectrum from that air elemental whose name she could no longer recall, but that did not mean the stock would not still be inferior. Now she hoped that it was not because she had spent far too much time invested in this one man and his girls to go looking elsewhere, but Liliya was not that much of an optimist these days. If she should be proven wrong then that would be a pleasant surprise, but if she was proven right... then she would begin to look at someone other than this Milo. Perhaps it would be time to go back to Ad Gustum after all. Domina had been quite accommodating and there had been not a single thing wrong with the girl that she had. Well, not technically. Truthfully there had been something about the experience that had left Liliya wanting, for lack of a better word. Even though she was seeking several different things outside of her marriage she had her standards. Those standards tended to lean towards not paying for sex. Just because she wanted to be able to claim a permanent blood doll who could function for that as well did not mean that she was paying them for both deeds. No, she would pay for blood and the second part would be a pleasantry, something they both wanted. Should that not be the case she would find another. And, since this was Liliya, she was looking for something permanent that was hers. The other problem with Ad Gustum was that they were available for any vampire who came and had the money. Liliya's skin crawled the more she thought about it even though it had been months since her trip there. And yet I still told Vi- no. Had she not promised herself that she was going to do her very best to not think about Via or work?
As she was reading over the information provided for this angelic-blooded witch - really, she did have a type and if it was not for the fact that he was a man then Naoki would have fit it just perfectly - for what had to have been the tenth time that day alone, she heard the sound of a car pulling up. A few moments passed before she heard the bell ring. Her eyes flicked at the clock to find that it read several minutes to eight. The Cyri was pleased to see that at least this second girl knew how to be a little bit early for her meetings. Promptness was something that the politician truly treasured. Yet she still took her time as she reached out to snag the crutches she hated before making her way towards the door. Naoki and Snowball had both been informed that she had a business matter to attend to tonight so they should not bother if they heard the door.
Liliya stopped just before the door, turning slightly to make sure that nothing about her appearance had become mussed. Then she stared a little harder. Of course her attention was drawn right to the crutches she was using to support herself and then the missing leg, but that really should not be the first thing that anyone else looked at. The rest of her should draw plenty enough attention, at least at first. Liliya did not mind if people noticed that she was missing a leg, she preferred that at some point they would so that she could explain the horrible tragedy of it all, she only minded when it was the first thing they saw and then they kept looking back. Once it had been noted that should have been enough. That air elemental had been far too interested in glancing at it and Liliya had decided that if this witch's eyes went right to her crutches or legs before she so much as acknowledged another part of her, then she would send her back to Milo without even carrying on the conversation. Maybe she will be perfectly acceptable. Maybe I can focus on something outside of work that doesn't make me think about Via. Normally when Liliya met someone new for the first time she would start up her heart, call a flush to her skin and make it appear like she was every bit as alive as them, but for this purpose she did none of that. She just reached out to open the door and offer a small smile that showed the tips of her fangs to the redhead on the other side.
"Lizbeth, I presume? My name's Liliya, please come in." Thank god your eyes are brown. There was another thing that she had set girls out of the running for without even realizing it; if they shared any physical traits with Via then they were gone. Liliya could not even entertain the notion of bringing someone into this house who looked like the vampire who had left her so suddenly. But, because Liliya really was a private sort of person and she did not quite trust that Snowball would not be curious enough to listen, she raised one hand to motion down the hall. "My office is the second door on the right. I believe we will be more comfortable there."
