Daisy wasn’t surprised in the least that Bandit was hiding from her. It wasn’t often that he was particularly compliant, unless there was a treat involved at some point. Usually he needed a bit of persuasion before he played along with whatever game she was in the mood for. She was sure that after the past week they had been through, it was going to take more than baby talk and the promise of food to persuade Bandit to cooperate. It was all for the better really; Daisy didn’t want this to be enjoyable for him in the least. “You don’t even know what it is silly-billy. How do you even know that you won’t love it?”
She crept through the room until she spotted Bandit’s tail end sticking out from a nearby cupboard. He had to know that she could see him. It was a little embarrassing just how much he had failed at hiding himself. Should she have given him a little more of a head start? Daisy tiptoed up behind him quietly before shouting “Boo!” and grabbing him by his hind legs. She gave him a gentle tug in her first attempt to coax him out of the cupboard. Leaning closer, her voice dropped an octave, losing much of its playful tone. “We can do this the easy way or the hard way, Bandit. And I really do hope you choose the hard way.” Daisy tucked the outfit under her arm before reaching deeper into the cupboard. Just because the two hadn’t played for a week didn’t mean that she had forgotten all of the raccoon’s ticklish places. Her fingers tucked themselves under his arms and began to tickle the sensitive skin there. She was ready and waiting for the second that he couldn’t hold on to whatever support he had; that was when she would rip him out of his hole and grab him with both arms.
