Bandit did not think that anything good was going to come of the situation that existed between him and Daisy at the moment. Oh no, no not at all. He had betrayed her to Joseph and that betrayal had been very bad. He was not sorry for it because she had done something wrong, but he knew that she as mad. It had been made obvious time and time again with how she spoke to him and how much attention she had not been paying. Not once since that whole incident had she offered him scraps or called him 'Bandy' or scooped him up to tickle his belly and play with his paws while cooing over how precious he was when he grabbed at her fingers. Bandit did not enjoy those things, he would deny to the end of his days that he ever once liked what she did to him, and yet... it was strange to not have her do it. Bandit had gotten used to being treated like a bit of a baby since he had come to Joseph and Daisy - the two just went together - and it was rubbing his fur the wrong way that he was practically being ignored now. He could sit and stare at Daisy for hours on end without her saying a word to him.
But he would have taken that for another two weeks if he had had any idea of what was coming. The moment that he heard Daisy come in and shout out his nickname in that sing-song way with the 'surprise' added on... he knew. Oh, Bandit knew that whatever was coming was not something that he wanted and he zoomed for the nearest cupboard. Unfortunately for him, that cupboard happened to be just a little bit too small and he was only halfway into it when he heard her in the room with him. 'That's okay, I don't want it,' he said, his head firmly in the cupboard while his fingers closed around the back bar. Maybe if he held on really tight then she would not be able to yank him out...
