This girl had spunk. Farren could admire that quality in a person on a normal day, but not today. Today that was just an obnoxious teenager who was in store for a rude awakening. And Farren wanted to be the person to give it to her... except for the fact that beating a minor down was just not a good idea considering that was illegal and all. "Don't believe you're sorry at all," the were scoffed and looked her waitress up and down. Farren knew that if she had spoken this way to a customer - and lord knew she wanted to on several occasions - she'd lose her job. Baristas were expected to be sassy, not rude. But as Farren studied the girl, she realized that she had been here at the diner for what seemed like forever. The brunette usually didn't go out of her way to eat here, but it was a local place and so it came up as an option several times. And every time she came in with a friend, she had seen this particular waitress. She couldn't remember actually being served by the blonde girl, but then again she probably didn't pay much attention even if she had.
Farren frowned when the girl explained that she was going to be charged for this or that when she was only ordering the meat. She decided to be polite, or more than she was, and waited for the girl to finish. So she sat in the booth, her elbow resting on the table while she leaned her head against her hand. Her fingers drummed the side of her cheek as she listened and finally she waved off whatever the girl had said. "Look, I don't care. If you can do a side of more meat to make it like I'm getting my money's worth then do that. If not, then don't worry about it. All I want is meat. And rare. I've got a strong stomach." She knew that the girl wasn't telling her out of the kindness of her heart; it was like the Caution: Liquid is hot stamps on plastic lids of coffee cups so that companies didn't get sued for somebody else's stupid. Farren didn't care; she'd ordered the same thing here every time she came in and had not died yet. "You're a bright ray of sunshine, you know that? Wonder how you've managed to keep a job here so long." She quirked an eyebrow and slid back into the booth so that she was resting her back against the window and her legs were stretched out in the seat. "But no, that's it. Oh, and don't fuck with my food. I'll know if you do."
