Rina shook her head in denial of her afternoon being interrupted. "We were not really doing anything." The angel was not the biggest fan of the television and all the things on it. She would rather spend her time helping any of her wards if they needed her than sitting and watching it. Even time out in the garden could be better spent helping. What a lot of people likely did not understand that her job was her life and vice-versa. She was a patron and they were dedicated to their cause forever and for always. Now that she had come back to the mortal plane any of the ones that she found or found her were hers for... likely ever. Sometimes it was very difficult for the non-patrons to understand what it was like. Even the guardians could have trouble and they were similar in their ways.
The denial made her glance up at Daisy, but it was a weak one and she did not feel that her heart was truly over. Nor did she think that Daisy really wanted her to stop or else she would have pulled away. So Rina went ahead and called up the spell she knew she would need and sent the healing magic out. But she left a small scar behind simply because white magic was not so strong as holy magic. She squeezed Daisy's hand lightly when she shifted hers to hold it, just waiting to see what it was that was wrong. Trouble, meanwhile, was delighted with the intention and started to purr as the other blonde gave her all of the attention. Sometimes Rina thought that Trouble would give her love to anyone who knew how to rub her belly just the right way. The small cat even caught Daisy's hand between her tiny front paws and gave a few licks with her rough tongue. Trouble might not have known what was wrong anymore than Rina did, but she helped in her way. Until Daisy started crying and then familiar and angel were left staring at her with wide eyes, the only difference between them that Rina's were shimmering out of a shared sympathy for the feelings resonating through her because Daisy was having them.
Daisy stole. Rina took a deep breath, wanting to ask why, but the tears stopped her. Daisy was one of her wards and it was not her job to chide her for the things that she did. She was here to help and what did she care for this church? She did not even know it. "You cheated?" Rina repeated, slightly confused until Daisy continued to say she was a horrible person. People did not say that for cheating on a test. Had Daisy said something about having a boyfriend? Yes, he was one of the things that had made her... different. Rina doubted she would like him. "Oh, Daisy..." Rina rose and moved next to the woman, wrapping her arms around her in a tight embrace. How horrible she felt about this would have been evident even if Rina was not an empath who could feel it echoing in her bones. As it was, she had tears falling from her own eyes and she wanted to say that it was okay, but could she? Was it okay? 'I don't know...' Trouble had shifted so that the two women were not crushing her, refusing to leave Daisy's lap. "No, you're not a horrible person." Like she had done with Jadyn, she shifted enough so that she could keep that tight hold, pressing a kiss to the top of her head. Rina did not care that she had not known her for a terribly long time, she was one of hers and that was all that ever mattered. "It's okay, Daisy, shhhhhh."
