BJ was still trying to catch her breath, but she did smile at Reggie as she stepped inside and leaned back against the wall. She knew she was not making an awesome first impression, but... well, there was little that could be done about that. God only knew what sort of dreams he'd had about her; odds were good his mind was already made up about what sort of person she was. Strangely, she felt... well, kind of comfortable. She felt no need to put up the sweet little girl face she usually did. She felt like she could be herself. Desperation was a powerful thing.
Endy was doing just fine, however, and she paused when she stepped inside and glimpsed the other familiar. 'FREE WILLY. What the hell is he feeding that thing? Other cats?' BJ refused to look, knowing damn well that if she did she'd probably start laughing. This was not the time.
She frowned at Reggie. He wasn't hearing Her? That meant he was a master. "I was hoping that, too," she admitted. For good measure she focused hard on her power. Unfortunately, earth just wasn't as showy with fire. With fire, you got immediate results. With earth... well, it was just harder. She didn't see anything in the room she could aim for, but after focusing hard for a few moments she felt the slightest tremor beneath her feet. "Goddammit," she hissed, dropping that immediately. "There's got to be a way. No offense, but I am a terrible earth elemental. If I had to stay this way for the rest of my life I'd go insane. I'm sure you feel the same way."
