Despite what he says or doesn't say.
Who: Aiden and Jules
When: Evening
Where: Their place
Warning: NSFW
Jules had decided that today was nap day. Sleeping, yes that was the most lovely thing in the whole universe. She'd taken a shower as soon as she got off work and then promptly found herself a pair of Aiden's pajama pants with a draw string in them and pulled them tight, then pulled on one of his shirts and hopped into bed with her snuggly covers and sprawled out in the center. Sleeping was wonderful. She knew she wouldn't be getting much of a nap, but hey, it was better than nothing, besides, Aiden would wake her up when he got home.
Aiden had worked a full day and was feeling tired and hungry by the time he got home. He smelled like gasoline and oil, as usual, and was more than ready for a shower. He entered the apartment, listening for some sign of Jules. The living room and kitchen were empty, so he padded down the hallway and glanced into their room. She was sleeping on the bed, looking pretty damn comfortable. So much so that he was jealous. Grinning a bit, he turned to go into the bathroom, stripping quickly so he could shower. After he was finished, he felt worlds better, and he wrapped a towel around his waist, returning to their bedroom and crawling up onto the bed to lay down and tug Jules to him. She was always soft and warm and he placed his head on her breasts, sighing.
Well, being tugged was definitely one way to get woken up. Jules stirred about the time Aiden's head pressed against her chest. "Hey, baby." she murmured, lifting her hands to slowly run through the man's hair. She let out a little yawn and smiled down at him. "How was work?"
"Greasy," Aiden murmured, eyes closed as he was finally able to relax. "What'd you do today?" He knew she had to work, but paralegal stuff, or whatever she was, went way over his head most of the time.
"Worked." she murmured. "And slept. I was having a really awesome dream about this sexy guy I know. Too bad you had to wake me up from it." Jules teased, fingers slowly running through the mess of damp hair. "Miss me, dollface?"
He lifted one eye open lazily to look up at her. "Don't let Dorian know you're dreamin' of him. His ego's big enough as it is." His arms tightened around her and he wished he had the energy to get up. Maybe they'd go out for food tonight. "Don't I always miss you? Workin' in a garage with other smelly, greasy guys... 'course I miss you."
"Shh, you're not supposed to know who it is." she murmured. "Now my fantasy best friend lay is totally ruined." Jules teased, giving him a little grin. "You hungry, baby?" she asked him, liking the way his arms felt as they wrapped tight around her. "God, you feel good." she went on before he could answer. "Maybe we should just cuddle."
He chuckled and shook his head. "Keep your fantasy if you want. The guy wears small shoes though, you know what that means." Aiden was joking, of course, since it was easier to joke than even think about Jules seriously fantasizing about Dorian. "I'm a little hungry but I can wait. But real men don't cuddle," he reminded her. "Think of another word for it."
"Holding me captive?" she suggested. "And I wouldn't fantasize about Dorian, FYI. I tend to like my men a little more... Irish." she grinned. "And real men do cuddle, they just don't admit it to their friends."
He nodded slightly. "Captivity works." Aiden lifted his head up and looked at her with a cocked eyebrow. "Good, 'cause Dorian can't pull off an Irish accent at all. And most men don't like the word cuddle... even if their friends aren't around. It's the whole principle of the thing. If some guy says to a girl he wants to cuddle, then he's gay."
Jules shook her head. "You're an idiot." she teased. "You're not gay if you cuddle. But whatever, it doesn't matter. Captivity, cuddling, either way your head is against my boobs and you're holding onto me. Same thing. And you'd die if I fantasized about Dorian really. I can almost hear you cursing at me in some foreign language or something." she teased.
"Yup," Aiden replied. "You're gay if you say the word cuddle. Not if you do the actual cuddlin'." He rested his head back down and brought his hand up her side to cup one breast through the material of her shirt. "I wouldn't die... I'd curse, yeah... probably in gaelic, since it's the only language I know well enough to do so. Just like you'd curse at me in Spanish if you knew I was fantasizin' about other girls."
"But you do." she pointed out. "It's called porn and I know you watch it and I know you probably fantasize about doing dirty, dirty things to Angelina Jolie too." she teased. "But yes, if you fantasized about anyone that I knew and actually spoke to, I'm sure there would be plenty of cursing for you, Aiden Quinlan, plenty of cursing for you."
"Porn?" Aiden did his best to sound skeptical and shocked that she would even think such a thing. "Porn? Come on... that stuff is just... so cheesy. I have no interest in watchin' porn." Yeah, she'd know he was bs-ing his way through it, but oh well. He smiled up at her. "No worries, I don't fantasize about your friends. But that reminds me... not that you're to say anythin' to him, but have you got any of them that we can bring drinkin' with us next time? Dorian needs to get laid. My assessment, not his."
Jules arched a brow at him. "Setting up Dorian. You must really not want me to fantasize about him." she teased, shaking her head a little. "I'll see what I can do. Who I can come up with. Non-sleezy chicks."
"Can't make it too obvious," Aiden told her. "He'd kill him if he knew. Non-sleazy would be brilliant, though I don't think you know many sleazy women anyway. Just tryin' to do my duty as his best mate, you understand. Guy's pent up."
She nodded. "I'll be sneaky about it. Say that we wanted to crash boys night or something." she shrugged. "I'll find him someone worth his time. Everyone needs a little release sometime. Especially Dorian. Guy works all the time." she murmured. She slid her fingers slowly through Aiden's hair and gave him a little smile. "You're a good friend sometimes, even if you are sneaky about it." Jules muttered.
"You're sneaky too, you just said so," he pointed out before his hand squeezed her breast gently. "And I'm a good friend all the time, thank you very much. You're wearin' my pajamas, it looks like."
"Mhm. I am. And you're not wearin' any pajama's at all. I think I like your idea better." Jules whispered. "Are you having fun with those?" she questioned him, arching a brow and looking down at his fingers on her chest.
"Don't I always fun with them?" Aiden asked, shooting her a look before he scooted up enough to kiss her. "How am I suppose to wear pajamas when you're wearin' mine?" he asked against her lips. "Doesn't make much sense."
"Mmm..." she murmured into the kiss. "I don't know. Maybe you should buy another pair of pajamas. I like yours better than mine." she whispered. "I only put them on because you weren't here with me when I fell asleep. I'm used to you being around so... the next best thing I guess." Jules shrugged, kissing him again.
"I like yours though," Aiden told her with a grin. "I mean, not on me, obviously... but those tight little shorts you wear... or the silky things." His hand moved down to her stomach and he slipped it under the hem of the shirt she wore until he felt bare skin. "Though I have to admit, you look sexy in my clothes."
Jules bit her bottom lip and arched her body against his hand. "Only because me wearing them proves that I'm yours. It's like a possessive little brand." she teased, leaning up enough to kiss him. "Somehow though, I think you like when I don't wear anything at all to bed so much better."
"I'd rather just bite you somewhere to brand you," Aiden told her with a grin. "Because I doubt you'll be wearing my pajamas out in public. I already know you're mine... everyone else is 'spose to know too." His hand covered her bare breast gently. "But yeah, I prefer it when you sleep nude. It saves so much time when I want to fuck your brains out in the middle of the night."
Lightly running her tongue over her lower lip, Jules smirked at him. "Brand me all you want, Aiden, baby. I have no problems with you biting me whatsoever." And boy, she didn't. In fact, most of her was aching for him to bite her now that he'd brought it up. "And you're right, I wouldn't wear them in public. You must be special getting to see me in them."
"I think it's more that we live together and I just happen to get to see you in them because you wear them 'round the house." He plucked at her nipple before nuzzling her neck. "And I thought most women didn't want their men to be so possessive. That whole feminist bullshit."
"Fuck feminism." Jules murmured, shaking her head just a little. "I like that you want to claim me. Makes me feel like you want me all for yourself. I want you all for myself. It's just... I like knowing you feel the same way." In her mind, Aiden's possessiveness was the closet thing to him telling her he loved her as she'd probably ever get. She liked it.
Aiden snickered and brushed his stubble against the skin below her ear before he kissed it. "If I didn't want you all for myself, you wouldn't be livin' with me right now, now would you?" Aiden wasn't much of a fan of Jules even talking to other guys, though he knew it would be impossible to ask her not to. He wasn't that big of an asshole. He just knew there were other people out there far better for her than he was. Someday she'd probably realize that too. Aiden lifted his head to look down at her. "Do I not make it clear that I feel that way?"
She smiled up at him, lifting a hand to brush across his cheek. "You make it clear." she told him, nodding a little. "And you're right, if you didn't want me all to yourself, I wouldn't be living with you. Sometimes I'm surprised I am." she admitted. "When I met you...," she began. "I never really saw you as a one woman kind of guy. The fact that you're with me? I know that you care about me, Aiden. You make it clear." Jules assured him.
"I wasn't a one woman kind of guy before I met you. In fact, I still wonder how the hell you managed to follow me home and move in without my knowledge..." He grinned and leaned down to kiss her. "I still think you're some kind of witch... used a love spell or some crazy shit."
She smiled again and shook her head. "You figured out my secret." Jules whispered, kissing him again. "I'm a witch and forced you to fall in love with me with some spell." She still wondered how she managed to get to where she was too. Aiden Quinlan, living with a woman? That was a feat in and of itself.
"Wasn't too hard to figure out," Aiden said. Aiden had never had any intention of living with a woman. He wasn't the domestic kind of guy. He had no plans for marriage or children either. Living with Jules was a huge deal, but thankfully she knew the score, and she seemed to be happy enough to just live with him. "Not that I'm complainin'. Wakin' up to a warm, soft body is nicer than wakin' up alone every mornin'."
Jules shook her head. "Yeah, I see why you like me." she teased. "You just want someone to curl up against when you're cold." She knew there was more to it than that, knew that he cared about her, probably more than he was willing to even admit to himself.
"Only in the winter," Aiden promised with a grin. He rolled on top of her, resting his weight gently on her. "I think you only want me because of my accent. If I were from the States, I'd probably be too borin' for you to even give me the time of day."
"Mhm." she nodded. "You're so right. Sometimes you don't even sound Irish and I have to think 'why am I even with this guy?'." Jules teased, leaning up and pressing her lips to Aiden's. "Give it up, baby, you know you can't imagine your life without me."
"Sure I can... my apartment would be a hell of a lot more messy... I'd have a harem of scantily dressed women lounging around, nothin' but beer in the fridge and porn on the television twenty four seven." Aiden nipped at her lower lip. "But I guess this scenario is just as good as all that." His lips brushed alongside her jaw and down to her neck. "I think it helps when I come home and you're already in bed waitin' for me."
She wanted to be annoyed with his alternate universe description, but she didn't say anything about it. If she wasn't with Aiden, he would have all those things. At least the majority of them. The harem probably wouldn't be all at one time, but there would be girls. Lots of girls randomly prancing through his life, in and out through the revolving door of Aiden Quinlan. Her jaw tightened slightly at the thought of him being with someone else, even an imaginary woman that he'd never even come in contact with. She tried her best to relax her face when he spoke again. "Always." Jules murmured.
Aiden grinned against her neck before he nipped at her skin with his teeth. "You know I'm teasin' you, Juliana. I think we both know I'd be a sad sack... poor excuse for a man without you here. Wouldn't know what to do with myself." Aiden lifted himself and shifted to the side so he could yank the shirt she was wearing up her stomach. "Take this thing off."
"You're just saying that." she mumbled, but she didn't hesitate in reaching down to pull the shirt up and over her head, letting it fall to the floor beside the bed. "Happy?" Jules smiled.
"Very happy and no, I'm not just sayin' that. Have you ever known to me to just say somethin'?" Aiden smiled and ran his hands over her before he gripped the waistband of the pajama bottoms she wore. He began to pull them down her hips and thighs. "I always tell you the truth, don't I?" More or less.
"Usually." Jules murmured, letting out the tiniest little laugh. She lifted her hips enough to allow him the ability to tug the bottoms down and off. "At least I assume you do. You could just be a good liar." she teased.
"I'm a bloody brilliant liar," Aiden said. After the bottoms and her panties were discarded, he got rid of his towel and laid back down upon her, skin to skin. "I just try my damndest not to lie to you. I've seen your temper," he said teasingly. "And it scares me."
Jules rolled her eyes at him and shook her head. "You haven't seen anything close to how bad I can be." she smirked. "All that fiery Hispanic temper. It's in there, like a volcano waiting to erupt." she murmured. "Or maybe that's just the feeling of how badly I want you right now. Or both."
"You feel like you might erupt?" Aiden asked, bending his head down to take one of her nipples between his teeth. His free hand slipped between her legs to slip a finger into her heat. Yeah, she was definitely wanting him. It was amazing how hot and wet she could get for him, in so short a time.
She arched her chest against his mouth and parted her thighs just a little more so he had better access to her core. "God..." she whispered. "If... if you keep doing that I will..." He always did that to her. Ruffled her feathers a little and made her body feel like it was on fire. Like his voice just hit this spot inside of her that turned on her heat factor. Jules tilted her head back against the pillow and let out a soft little noise into the quiet of the room.
"That's the point," Aiden told her breathlessly as he looked up from her breast. There was so much he wanted to do to her at that point, but he was aching just as badly. All he wanted at that moment was to bury himself inside of her and then maybe just lay there for awhile, enjoying that slick, hot tightness. Aiden shifted, pulling his hand from her long enough to scoot up and get into the bedside drawer for a condom. When he returned to her, Aiden kissed her, long and hard, wanting to taste every inch of her mouth.
She kissed him back just as hard, trying her damnedest to push every bit of fire she felt inside of her into him. She wanted him. Ached for him. Hurt for him. She would have tried explaining the feeling to him, but she'd have probably been there all day and still not been able to even slightly broach how she felt. "Aiden..." she whispered as she pulled her lips from his. "I want you so bad." Bad didn't even begin to cover it and Jules knew it, but it was good enough to get at least a flicker of the point across.
"Want you too," he growled before tearing open the small package and taking out the condom. He kissed her again as he slid it on and once it was in place, he pushed her thighs apart to settled between them. He could feel her heat and his cock twitched in anticipation. "Wrap your legs around me," he said hoarsely, his mouth still pressed against hers.
Jules did as she was told, sliding her legs up around his waist and locking her ankles together. She could feel him pressed against her and she wanted him inside of her so badly that she could barely stand it. Arching her body and rolling her hips, she managed to rock her body enough to get him in position without even touching him with her fingers. "That's talent, huh, baby?" she whispered, letting out a little groan as she rolled her hips against his and let him slip inside of her.
"Very impressive," Aiden agreed, his voice hoarse from desire. He groaned as he slid deep into her body, allowing her hips to do the work until he couldn't take it anymore and his own hips pistoned forward to finish their union. She felt so unbelievably brilliant that it nearly took his breath. He didn't move at first, but reached up to brush his fingers over her cheek before he bent down to kiss her.
"My body knows you." she murmured. "We just fit together." Just having him inside of her was heavenly. Her muscles tightened around him, squeezing his length. When he leaned in to kiss her, she kissed him back easily, letting her arms curl around his neck. Jules was certain that this was the guy she was supposed to be with. The way they just worked so perfectly together had to be a testament to that.
A small noise escaped Aiden's lips when she tightened around him. Breathing heavily, he attempted to resist the pull to move, but he couldn't. His hips began to rock against hers and he made small, shallow thrusts, not wanting to pull out of her body just yet. His tongue slid along her bottom lip before it delved deep into her mouth. She was right, their bodies fit together perfectly, as if she was made solely for him. Not that he'd ever say that to her, but it was the truth.
Jules let her eyes drift closed, taking in the feel of him above her. She inhaled sharply, that scent that always seemed to fill the room when Aiden was around. She was certain that she would always know that smell. Her breathing already quickening, she followed his slow movements, pushing her hips against his each time he allowed himself to shift. She whimpered at the slowness of his pace, part of her wanting him to pick up the speed and rut against her until they both could no longer move or breathe, but the rest of her argued to stay at the slow pace. This type of sex was different, something she ached for. Not really sex at all, but love making. She'd never say the words out loud, however, for fear of Aiden shutting down at the mere thought of it. But inside her head, Jules knew that slow and tender meant more than hard and fast.
While it might have been love making, Aiden never really recognized it as such. Just the words sort of shut him down. Anything with the word 'love' tended to do that to him. Still, he moved slowly, taking his time, allowing himself to feel and taste every hot inch of her. He moved at an almost lazy pace, breaking away from her mouth only long enough to groan and try to catch his breath. Aiden wanted to be able to just do this all night and maybe at this pace he could. Wishful thinking, sure, but she felt so good that he didn't want to think about it being over yet.
Allowing her eyes to open up again, Jules slid her lips to Aiden's neck, kissing up to his ear, down to his shoulder and back again. She nipped his ear lightly and then pressed her lips to his neck just beneath it. "I love the way you feel inside of me..." she whispered, her voice taking on that breathy, seductive little tone it sometimes got. She wanted to undo him completely and whispering to him like that was certain to get some response and she knew it. Allowing her fingers to slid down his back, she let her nails sink it just a bit, catching his skin as she trailed a path to his waist and back up again.
The sound of her voice at his ear sent shivers down his spine and his hips thrust against hers a bit harder. Aiden rested his forehead against hers, his breathing shallow and uneven as he pressed deeper and harder into her body. It didn't seem to matter where they did this, or how... if they were drunk, or sober or angry. Slow. Fast. It was always fanfuckingtastic. "Feel so good," Aiden told her before he turned his head to nibble at her earlobe. He rocked against her a bit faster, not wanting it to be over so soon. He wanted to take his time and enjoy every second.
Each movement he made against her got a little whimper or moan in response. A noise of approval in time with the rocking of his hips. When he'd pull his body away from her, she'd tighten her muscles in an effort to keep him inside of her longer. It almost hurt for him to pull away. The light nibbling at her earlobe sent a heatwave rushing through her body, goosebumps raising on her arms as the feeling coursed through her. "Aiden..." she whispered out against his neck, lips parting to try and catch some bit of breath.
Pulling her earlobe between his teeth, he sucked gently before lifting up above her and deepening his thrusts with hard, smooth strokes. He balanced himself and slipped a hand between their bodies, his fingers finding her clit and beginning to massage it in time with his body's movements. He wanted to watch her go off first, wanted to watch those flickers of pleasure in her eyes before she came. Watching Jules come was one of his favorite things to see. It was erotic, and beautiful, and he wanted to make her feel that way as often as he could.
Her toes curled and she tried not to tighten her legs further around him, but when his fingers slipped between them, it was hard to even think about anything, let alone keep herself from doing something. Jules cried out, finally dropping her legs from around his body and planting her heels against the bed to give him better access to move against her. Arching her body upwards away from the mattress, she pressed against his fingertips, rolling her body with each thrust he made.
Aiden watched her face as his fingers worked her. She was gorgeous when she was caught up in that kind of rapture. All he wanted was to bury his face in her neck and rut against her until he came, but first he wanted to feel her tighten and pulse around him. Pressing his thumb firmly against her clit, he stroked her firmly as he began to move inside of her faster. "So beautiful," Aiden whispered, his voice hoarse. "Want to feel you come, love."
Jules let out a shrill little cry, followed by a shudder. More than that really, a convulsion as he hit that perfect spot and hurled her over that precipice. "Aiden!" she cried out, all her muscles tensing and tightening around him. Her fingers splayed out on the blankets then tightened again catching fistfuls of the comforter within her grasp as he arched her back and pushed her chest upwards from the mattress. Her eyes squeezed shut, lips parted as she tried desperately to suck in any bit of air she could manage.
That was what he wanted to see and feel. The pull of her body, the way she cried out his name, it all served to heighten everything he was already feeling. He continued to stroke her clit through her orgasm, only pulling his hand away when he felt her beginning to come back down. Shifting, he balanced himself over her and began to quicken his pace, grunting softly every time he thrust into her. Fuck... nothing in the world could ever feel this good. There were several reasons he was a one woman man now. This was one of the
She barely had time to slowly drift back down before he was pushing her right back towards that edge again. "God... fuck... ah... A-A-Aiden..." she cried out, or at least tried to. Her breath catching in her throat and making the words barely understandable. "O-Oh god... ah... fuck... I'm..." And just like that, he'd shoved her right back over the edge again. Her muscles tensed and her fingernails dragged across his back, most likely leaving marks, but Jules was far too lost in the sensation to really pay much attention to it.
He tried to hold back, to draw it out a little bit longer, but the moment she came and he felt those nails on his back, he couldn't resist the pull of the release that began to spiral out of control inside of him. Aiden closed his eyes tightly and pounded himself into her again and again until he tensed, her name a long, drawn out groan on his lips as he spilled himself into her. It seemed to go on forever, his spine tingling like mad until finally everything began to fade, leaving him breathless and sated. Aiden lowered himself upon her, burying his face against her neck as he tried to catch his breath.
Jules had a case of the shivers by the time he lowered himself against her, her whole body still twitching from the aftermath. She tried her best to regain control of her breathing, of her erratic heartbeat, but she couldn't seem to bring either one back to a normal pace. Her arms snaked tighter around his neck, holding his body firmly against hers. "God..." she whispered, her voice hoarse. "Maybe I should... ah... be waiting in bed more often..."
"I won't complain," Aiden replied, his words muffled against the skin of her neck. He didn't want to move. In fact, he wanted to just fall asleep right there, just like that. But that wouldn't be the wisest thing to do, so he reluctantly pulled back, slipping a hand between them to hold the condom in place as he slipped away from her. "Feel okay?"
Jules nodded a little, giving him a smile. "Better than okay." she whispered, watching him as he pulled away from her. "Do you really have to ask that question?" she teased.
"Always best just to double check," Aiden said with a small laugh before he slipped off the bed to throw the condom away. He came back to lay down next to her, his hand sliding over her breast and down to her stomach. "Want to go out for dinner tonight? You can pick where we eat." Since he was feeling generous and everything.
Jules was just about to open her mouth to speak when she closed it again. She scrunched up her nose just a little, trying to get over the pang of nausea that spiked through her. That was odd. "Aiden... I think I'm gonna... be sick." she said, pushing his shoulder a little so she could scoot herself off the bed and sprint towards the bathroom.
He was surprised when she nudged at his shoulder, and he rolled away from her, watching her dart out of the bedroom and into the bathroom. The unmistakable sounds of someone getting sick could be heard seconds later and Aiden winced before getting off the bed and grabbing a pair of boxers to pull on. He walked to the bathroom tentatively and peered in, unsure of what to do. Usually when Jules threw up, it was because she was hungover. Walking over, he knelt beside her. "You okay?"
After a moment or two, Jules was finally able to calm her gag reflex enough to keep from vomiting again. Wiping her mouth with the back of her hand she nodded a little and reached over to grab some toilet tissue to wipe her mouth with again. Tossing the tissue into the toilet, she flushed it and turned over to scoot back against the wall of the bathroom, pulling her legs up, knees to her chest. "I think so." she said, nodding just a little. "I don't think the salad I had for lunch is agreeing with me."
"Maybe it wasn't fresh," Aiden suggested, resting his hand on her knee. "Do you want me to get you some water?" It probably didn't help that they had sex, if she'd already had an upset stomach. "You're not gettin' sick are you? Like, the flu or somethin'?" Not that it was flu season, but still. There was that swine flu shit going around, wasn't there? "Do you need to go to the doctor?"
"I'm fine, Aiden." she assured him. "Just... nauseous." she explained. "Like... when you spend too much time spinning around or something, or you go into a really tall building and look out the window at the ground." At least that's how she felt. "I don't need to go to the doctor. I'm just... it was probably just the salad." she nodded. That was as good an explanation as any. "But yeah, lemme brush my teeth and get some clothes. I'll take that water though. Thanks."
For a very split, terrifying second, Aiden took the word 'nauseous' and attributed it to babies. But that was impossible, since she was on the pill and they always used a condom, as far as he could remember. He pushed the thought away and gave her a small smile. "I'll get you some water." He leaned over to kiss her forehead before he stood and headed toward the kitchen. She probably just had some rotten veggies, or spoiled chicken or something. She'd been sick before, so... Aiden returned a few minutes later with a glass of ice water. "I'm going to believe it was the salad, since any other explanation might bruise my ego."
While he was gone, Jules went ahead and pulled on a pair of her pajama shorts and a tank top, then retreated to the bathroom again to brush her teeth. She was doing so when he returned with the glass. Rinsing her mouth out once more, she arched a brow at him. "Oh, yes, baby. It was you. You fucked me to sickness." she teased.
"That's not flattering though. No guy wants a girl to vomit after sex," Aiden told her with a small laugh. He set the glass down on the sink for her. "Hey, at least you came twice before getting sick. Silver lining, right?" Aiden smirked and tugged playfully at her hair.
"Sorry I ruined the afterglow." she sighed, finding a scrunchie from the drawer by the sink and pulling her hair back away from her face and into a ponytail. "Do you still wanna go out for dinner?" she questioned. "Anywhere that doesn't have salad?"
"Yeah, we can still go out, if you're feelin' up to it." If food made her sick, he didn't want her getting sick again, especially out in public. Not that it would embarrass him, but Aiden was pretty sure it would embarrass her. "Every place has salads... we'll just make sure we don't sit anywhere near someone who's got one, okay?"
"Maybe give me a little while?" Jules shrugged. "I don't... I still feel a little off." she admitted. "Can we just raincheck for tonight? I'll make you something to eat I'm just not really hungry." she told him. "I'll start dinner and maybe we can go out tomorrow or something." Obviously she didn't feel good. Jules never turned down dinner out with Aiden.
"You don't have to make me anything," Aiden told her, taking her hand to lead her back to the bedroom. "I know how to make a sandwich. You should probably lay down, if you're not feeling good. Just rest, okay? If you need anything, you can yell for me. I know you're good at that." He smiled at her and nudged her toward the bed.
Jules gave him a weak little smile and nodded a little, but then she reached out for him again. "Come lay with me for a little while?" she asked, putting on the slightest bit of a pout. She didn't want him to walk away just yet. She wanted to feel him close to her if she was going to be laying down. "Just til I fall asleep again? Then you can do whatever you want. Please?"
"Yeah." Aiden laid down on the bed next to her, pulling her against him with one arm as he rested his head on his pillow. He felt bad that she'd gotten sick and didn't feel well all of the sudden, but he was sure once she slept for awhile, she would feel ten times better when she woke.
She immediately pressed herself against him, curling her arms between their bodies and letting her head rest against his chest. She could hear his heart thumping lightly against it and the sound made her relax a little. Focusing on that light thrumming against his ribcage. She forced her thoughts to settle at a bad batch of salad and not run free with all the other possibilities. There was no time for worrying when it was nothing. "Thanks." she murmured. "For laying with me." After a long moment she looked up at him and tipped her head to kiss his jaw. "I love you." she told him. He needed to know that and she didn't really care if he didn't want to. He'd get over his annoyance with the words eventually. She knew he wouldn't respond, but it didn't matter. That was how she felt and that was what mattered. Resting her head against his chest again, she let her eyes close once more.
Aiden kissed the top of her head. "You're welcome." He parted his lips to respond to what she said, the way he did every time she said she loved him, but the words wouldn't form. It felt like he was physically incapable of repeating them. Aiden tightened his arms around her and shut his eyes, feeling comfortable and sated, despite the words hovering in the air. It had been several years, so in his mind, all he could hope for was that she knew how he felt about her, despite what he said, or didn't say.
