Not half a moment after Missy pulled back from Jadyn she wondered if she should have or if she should have just kept on holding her until... time ran out. Because Jadyn was staring at her face again. Just because I'm so pretty? The thought was touched with the edges of self-mocking because she was positive that she knew why Jadyn was really staring at her. It was not because she was pretty - or at least it was not just because of that - it was because she was trying to see where her fangs had gone. Being fae-blooded had never seemed like as much of a gift as it did now that she had been turned and could use it to hide those fangs she did not want to have. She could probably even add a little glow of life back to her skin if that would make Jadyn feel better. Part of her wanted to ask if that was what Jadyn wanted her to do, if that would make things better, but she decided against it. What if it just made things worse for her to know how she hid her fangs? And at least... at least this right here, right now, made sense. Missy knew why Jadyn would be afraid of her and she could understand that. So long as she could understand it it was easier than anything that happened with Nikita. "You can still be a little crazy around me," she assured Jadyn, feeling like she needed to remind her that that had not changed at all. "I won't mind." And she would not. She believed that she had proven that several times over; including that first night they had actually been together.
Was that a smile? Yes, it was, and before Missy could be properly delighted about it she got a shock from the feeling of Jadyn's lips on her own. It was short, true, but Jadyn had kissed her and Missy stared at her with surprise painted clearly across her face. She really had been operating under the idea that no one would want to touch her again, but Jadyn had proven that wrong by embracing her, and she definitely did not think anyone would want to kiss her, and again Jadyn proved it wrong. Part of her wanted to beg for Jadyn to do it again, prove that it had really happened, but it lost out when Jadyn reminded her about towels. "Right, absolutely." Her arm came down, but her hand went out to take Jadyn's again, refusing to give up that contact, and she led the way through the achingly empty-feeling house. The Australian did pause outside the door leading into her bedroom. "Unless you want to go upstairs, you remember my bathroom's in my room... is that okay?" Missy did not want Jadyn to feel trapped by being in a room, even if it was one that she was familiar with. Glancing through the open door, Missy actually winced at the sight of her bed. She had not slept in there since the night before the attack. Other nights spent in the house had seen her curled up on the couch, almost like she felt like she did not deserve the bed she had used before. "I've got a big t-shirt you can use if you want to hang those over the tub so they can dry out. Or I can toss them in the dryer and then we can... watch the telly maybe?" Missy was nervous. Every last part of her was afraid that she was going to do or say something that would ruin what was happening. Her glamour would fall, Jadyn would see her fangs and run out screaming. The lack of heat in her skin would prove to be too much. A dozen small things that could all cause such a large reaction and all she wanted to do was keep all of them from happening. One thing, could she not ruin one thing?
Missy's free hand came up again to touch Jadyn's cheek, brushing a piece of her hair back behind her ear. "Just tell me what you want me to do so you don't leave..." Right then Missy was sure that she would do anything to keep that from happening.
