Had Missy been able to somehow sense all that Jadyn was feeling then she would never have pulled her hand away or stopped herself from at least brushing a light kiss against her forehead, cheek or even mouth. But all that Missy could think of was how much Jadyn hated vampires and how that was exactly what she had been turned into. Even though there was a glamour hiding her fangs from sight they were still there and the other woman would have been able to feel them if she touched them. That would just shatter the memories she had gained from the time she spent dating Jadyn and she liked having those reasonably untarnished; she could never think of the months with Nikita without feeling a cold lump in her stomach and - oh god. She's going through what I did! There were differences; Missy had been turned and she had not hidden what she was while they dated, but... the truth still leered at her now that she had realized it and if Jadyn and turned and run away again she would not have blamed her. At least it would be better than shooting at her while she was still in bed. But Missy wanted her to stay so bad and when Jadyn took her hand... The blonde shivered and offered up no resistance as her hand was turned and studied. It felt like little chills were chasing themselves down from where Jadyn was touching and she watched, almost mesmerized as their hands came together.
"Yes." And Missy remembered when Jadyn had been sitting in her bathtub, hardly touching her food, giving her a 'reading'. She had not been able to tell her much - though what she had said had been enough for Missy to decide that she would tell her what she did for her 'second job' - but she had said something about Kristen, but what Missy remembered most clearly was that Jadyn had said she would always forgive her. Did that include what had happened here? Would Jadyn really forgive her for letting herself get turned into this? Missy wanted to ask, the question was burning in her throat, but she knew that the words were nowhere near ready to come out. Instead she pulled their intertwined hands up and twisted her wrist so that she could kiss the back of Jadyn's hand. Then, without stopping to ask or think that she was once again pressing her luck, Missy reached her other arm out and snaked it around Jadyn's waist so that she could pull the water elemental tight against her for a real hug. She pressed her face down against her wet hair, breathing deeply the faded scent of Jadyn's familiar conditioner. It hardly bothered her that she could smell her blood underneath of it; instead she just focused on the scents she wanted and how she could feel Jadyn's pulse echoing through her hand. Her shirt was getting wet again, but Missy could hardly bring herself to care. "I've missed you so much, I couldn't even think about it."
And for a few minutes all that she did was stay right there, holding Jadyn and remembering how much she loved to do that. Jadyn had not pulled away and that meant the world to her. Lately she felt as though everyone tolerated her presence, they let her be around, but they did not want her there. The only exception had been Eloisa, but she was... Missy did not want to think about her. What she wanted to think about was how she felt like Jadyn wanted her to be there with her. When she pulled back it was only a little and she smiled tentatively down at Jadyn. "Would you like to get dried off?" Her smile grew a little and she leaned down enough to brush her nose against the brunette's. "I'll come with you so you don't have to be alone." Her heart was silent, but it felt like it should be beating its way right out of her chest. All that she wanted was to stay right with Jadyn and not let her out of her sight.
