"Brenda," she introduced herself, smiling back. "It's nice to meet you, too. You have a very unique name, Orion." Which, incidentally, happened to be one of her favorite constellations. Likely because it was also one of the few she could actually pick out with any regularity, but a favorite nonetheless. She busied herself with pulling the first aid kit out of her bag as Orion got the child situated atop the picnic table. She was glad to hear that his parents were nearby; she wouldn't have felt right patching him up and then just leaving him in the park. "As a matter of fact," she said, spying a rather frantic-looking couple as she was removing supplies from her kit, "I think that might be them over there." As she spoke, the woman's gaze fell upon them, and Brenda's suspicions were confirmed when she immediately grabbed the man's arm and began heading over.
"Occupational hazard," she said, to answer Orion's question, giving him another brief smile. "I'm a nurse, and I like to be prepared." Keanu, who'd waddled over sometime during their conversation, laboriously flapped his way up to the picnic table and entertained the boy while Brenda did the more unpleasant parts of fixing someone up - namely, the disinfecting bit - and got a waterproof bandage on him. With a brief explanation for his parents, who thanked the two of them, the little boy was off. Hopefully to be more carefully attended, should he start feeling adventurous again.
"Well," Brenda said, packing up her kit and slipping it back into her bag, "that's that." She held out a hand to Orion to shake. "Thank you for helping. I have a feeling he wouldn't have taken things as easily if he hadn't had good distractions."
