She laughed. "The couch made it through, thankfully. Otherwise, I'm sure I would have been replacing it for her." Not that it would have been an issue. In fact, Lia had offered, but Marie waved her off. Something about there being no harm, no fowl. Plus, she got a kitten out of the deal too. "I'm sure Cat was glad to be no longer pregnant, though with Nix around, I can never be sure." Setting her coffee down, she pulled the kitten into her arms, scratching her behind the ears so she wouldn't be so hurt by all the teasing. She was still a kitten after all.
Nix stuck her tongue out at the bird, which made Lia giggle. Yeah, cause all your flapping and squawking is just so freaking amazing. Jerk, swearing all the time. I have innocent ears. The kitten made a point of trying to bury her head between Lia and her cast.
"Be nice," Lia murmured to her familiar. Fur ball was going to get into trouble. The swearing didn't bother her all that much. "She's still really young." She wasn't far along in her own abilities, but it was nice to be able to do something. "Still, that's something, knowing that you have an element. You'll get to the cool stuff. I don't have a lot of abilities when it comes to air, but I'm working on it." Not being able to drown was kind of awesome, actually.
Well, Lia can't get hit by lightening! Nix poked her head up. So that's kinda cool too!
The brunette shook her head. "She'll live. By the way she is never, ever getting..." Lia covered Nix's ears and whispered, "cat nip. The last thing I need is for her to get high off the stuff. Can you imagine what she'd be like?" Nix wriggled out and landed almost gracefully on the floor.
But I'm always hyper! I swear I'll be like super good! Promise, promise! She went to nuzzle Quentin, thinking that would win him over. Lia just watched, amused.
